I'm sure there have been a few people out there that have been wondering where I've gone for the last 5 years.I've posted from time to time, but not like I used to.

And as sad as it is to say it, the reason I disappeared is my life went to hell and I lost my love for music and turned to other things to replace it.But over the last few months and with the love and support of so many good friends who know what I've been going through, I've come out the other side.And all the hell I went through, I now look back on fondly - as I realise that without that suffering, I wouldn't have learned the most important lessons of all. How to forgive myself for the pain I went through and more importantly, how to love and care for myself.Once I did that, the "smoke" screen I had put up in front of me to shield me from the pain and the hurt, crumbled with it and the addictions and insecurity that went hand in hand with it, faded away into the background.

And for the first time, in a VERY long time, I had more than enough love for me, but to share with others as well.And once I found love for myself. My love for everything else I had been missing out on for the past 5 years came flooding back to me.

And it all came to an emotional and climatic end (or is it just the beginning) for me, at the Gold Coast Pride weekend, where I was once again able to find and truly embrace my love for music.I had the honour of DJing and sharing that moment with some special mates. Others, that have shared their own personal journeys with me and shown me the love and support to help with mine.But the thing that made the night so magical for me, was when my 77-year-old mother came along to hear me play the closing set for the GLOW After Party.The look of pride on my mum's face just filled me with love, and that love came out through my music, and the crowd shared that love back in this never-ending cycle of positive feedback.
