70% of the podcast is about Django and the remaining 30% is about the hosts politics, search for power in Django, and money. I listened to 27 episodes and the hosts keep talking about how we need less white men in the Django conferences and as contributors (one of the hosts won't step down from being a contributor and the two of them are hosts in Django conferences, yet they won't live up to these values, and in fact they want money and power in the Django community),not only this but even when they talked about how they intentionally included more women in conferences (meaning that they took the space of those evil white men, therefore excluding them) they complained that those were white women, the hosts also mention how rather than donating to Django you should be able to contribute directly to people who are fixing bugs (meaning one of the hosts, he clearly wants money), the hosts also said that contributors should be paid more (one of the hosts) and how "we" need to get rid of the old people that made Django and put the most active contributors in power (meaning one of the hosts), they talk over and over about how big companies and normal users need to give more money to support the framework (Django) of which they make millions(again money) and even talk about how unfortunately due to Django being open source you can't exclude people from using it (you can tell their political affiliation from what they said about white men, and as always these people want to exclude others they don't agree with). They also don't understand business when it comes to Django yet still talk about it, they think Django should not be free to be more sustainable, but if you did that no one would be fixing bugs as a volunteer or for sub-optimal pay, they should not be giving their opinions on topics they don't understand such as business. This podcast is garbage, entire episodes are dedicated to this stupidity, when I listen to a podcast about Django I listen because I want to learn about the framework, I don't give two damns about the hosts political opinion masquerading as business advice (diversity makes your business better according to the hosts, I don't know about you but when I see Olympic teams I see that they focus on the fact that they can do the task well, not on how diverse they are) nor do I care for their search for power and money (all in the name of Django of course, they should be put in positions of power and get more money in the name of the greater good), it's lack of respect for my time, if I dedicate time to learning about something I want to learn about that topic and not listen to this which has nothing to do with anything. Lastly it's annoying how one of the hosts, I think his name is Carlton, keeps making "neurodivergent sounds" to put it politely, he sighs and make sounds such as "wuaaaa" at the end of sentences when trying to express frustration with something, and it's annoying.
