We live in a society that is so confused about the balance of work, rest, and play. On one side of the spectrum, we see a set standard that puts so much pressure on the "hustle" mindset, which teaches us that we should work ourselves to the point of exhaustion in order to make a living and a valuable, established life. On the other end of the spectrum, we see a society that abuses the "self-care" mindset, and teaches us to take care of ourselves above anything else, which unfortunately can easily take on the form of laziness and selfishness. As we navigate how to balance work, rest, and play in a society that is so confused about those three things, it's important that we look to the Bible to define what that balance should look like. Because the truth is, the Bible does give us a clear rhythm for this balance, and there is a place for both rest and play in our lives. Join us on this episode of the Do It On Purpose podcast as we discuss what it means to Rest and Play on Purpose!
