He earned both his medical degree as well as Masters degree in public health from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship with the prestigious University of California, San Francisco serving as Chief Fellow. Due to his interest in public health, Dr. Lonseth participated in several medical missions to the Amazon region of Brazil to help indigenous people lacking access to adequate healthcare.After having served as Director and Division Chief of pain medicine at East Jefferson General Hospital to serve the unmet needs of pain patients, Dr. Eric Lonseth now applies the knowledge gained over a decade to create a state-of-the-art pain management program.
