Tonight's guest is Dave Weigert. Dave,

2:30

welcome to the show. Thank

2:32

you, Vic. Thank you for having me

2:35

on. Well, thanks so much for coming

2:37

on. We appreciate your time. Dave,

2:40

please give us a brief bio on yourself.

2:44

Yes, my name is Dave Weigert,

2:47

and as far as my work background,

2:50

I worked for Baltimore County Fire

2:53

and Police, and

2:55

I did a lot of private security

2:57

as well.

2:59

Private security? I can only imagine the stories

3:01

you have to share. Yeah,

3:05

there's a lot. Oh, I'll bet.

3:08

I'm sure there are. Dave,

3:10

the first time we spoke, you told me that dogmen

3:12

are constantly on your mind. To what

3:14

extent? It's

3:18

daily. When I wake up

3:20

in the morning after I get myself

3:22

started, it just

3:25

pops in my head. It hasn't gone away since

3:28

the two encounters.

3:31

So I would say, yeah, on a daily basis, it

3:35

just pops in and out of my mind.

3:37

And I could be sitting there watching TV, and

3:40

it could just pop

3:42

up in my mind. And I'll

3:44

sit there, and I'll go through it, and

3:47

then my mind will drift off to

3:50

thinking about something else.

3:53

Well, that doesn't make any difference for most eyewitnesses.

3:55

I mean, most of them think about their encounters

3:58

on a daily basis, but.

3:59

That really doesn't come as a surprise when

4:02

you have such a profound experience. That's only

4:04

natural and it's expected.

4:07

In August of 2020, you and your wife

4:09

moved. Where'd you go and why'd you move?

4:13

Well, we moved from Baltimore, Maryland.

4:15

My wife had

4:17

a massive heart attack and

4:19

after she spent 52 days in the hospital,

4:24

we went back and stayed

4:26

at our house for a while. And then

4:28

my son said, I think it's time

4:30

that you move up

4:32

here where I'm at. He lived in Dublin,

4:35

PA. So he said it would be

4:37

better for you to move up here. I can take

4:39

care of you guys and you can spend more time

4:41

with your grandchildren. So

4:44

we moved up to Dublin,

4:47

PA with my son.

4:48

How's your wife now?

4:51

She's doing a lot better. She still

4:54

has illnesses such

4:56

as dementia and

5:00

she's dealing with that. But as far as her heart,

5:02

that's been doing pretty good. Well,

5:05

it goes without saying, I'm so glad to hear her heart's

5:07

doing better, but I'm so sorry to hear

5:09

about the dementia. Yeah,

5:12

it's really rough. Oh,

5:14

I'm sure it is. Yeah, that can't

5:16

be easy. Both

5:19

of your encounters happened at the cap and you and

5:21

your wife moved into. How hospitable

5:23

would you say the area around it is for dogmen?

5:27

Well, there's

5:29

a lot of farm area around.

5:32

There's a lot of woods. I'm

5:35

in like a circle. So I would

5:38

say there's woods all the way around

5:40

me, all the way around. And

5:44

there's a lot of wildlife. There's bear, there's

5:46

deer, there's a fox, coyotes,

5:50

all that stuff. So, you know, from

5:52

time to time, you might see it, a skunk,

5:55

a raccoon, a fox or something like

5:57

that on the property. So.

6:00

Like I said, there's a lot of woods,

6:02

so there's a lot of places for

6:04

wildlife to live in.

6:08

Sounds like a great place to live. I don't blame

6:11

you for moving there. Both

6:13

of the dogmen you've encountered could have harmed

6:15

you, but didn't. Does that make you think

6:17

the threat that they pose on average is

6:20

overrated, or do you think most of them

6:22

do pose a real threat?

6:24

I know nothing about dogmen. You

6:27

know, I've read a lot of reports. Of

6:29

some people that were attacked, and most

6:32

of them not.

6:33

So, it's

6:35

hard to say what dogmen would do. And

6:40

I can tell you, there's so

6:43

many things that went through my mind after

6:45

the situation about what could

6:47

have possibly happened, but didn't.

6:49

And I'm

6:52

so grateful for that.

6:54

Oh, I'm sure you are. I don't blame you. Your

6:57

second encounter frightened you so much you froze,

7:00

and understandably so. Have you

7:02

had any other experiences that frightened you as

7:04

much as it did? No.

7:08

Uh-oh. No. The

7:11

second encounter, when

7:13

I experienced that, my legs

7:17

blocked up first. I had

7:19

cramps in my calves, and then

7:22

the rest of my body just tightened

7:24

up, and that was it. I couldn't even

7:26

really talk. Oh, I'm sure

7:28

you couldn't. Yeah, that must have been awfully

7:31

frightening. Your son was

7:33

with you when you had the first one, though. What

7:35

kind of an effect did it have on him? Well,

7:39

to this day, he still gets

7:42

irritable when I bring it up,

7:44

when I mention it to him. He just

7:46

plain out tells me, I

7:48

don't want to talk about it. Forget

7:50

it. Forget about it. He's

7:53

in denial, then. Does

7:55

he avoid going into the woods now? I

7:59

don't think he's in denial. He's going into the woods since then.

8:03

He's not a hunter. He doesn't like

8:05

to walk trails or anything like that or

8:07

go hiking. So

8:10

he really doesn't have a reason to go

8:12

into the woods, but he's talking

8:14

about moving now to

8:17

a house he wants to buy that has farmland

8:20

and woods and, um,

8:24

um, going to try to touch bases with him on

8:26

that, but I don't know how that's going to go.

8:29

Hard to say how that's going to pan out. How

8:31

about you? Have your encounters removed any love

8:33

that you have for being out in the woods or do you

8:36

still like spending time out there?

8:38

I'm okay with it. I've

8:43

always told people I'm

8:46

a man and I

8:48

fear no man. I fear nothing.

8:52

I put my pants on the same way as another

8:56

man. But when it comes to something

8:58

like dog man or something like that, it's hard

9:00

to say until the time

9:03

if

9:03

you encounter something like that, like

9:05

I did, you can say, Oh,

9:08

I wouldn't be scared of it. But I

9:10

was terrified. I wasn't scared. I was terrified.

9:13

That's a good point. It's all too

9:15

easy to have this idea of how you'd

9:17

handle a dog man encounter if you had one,

9:20

but everyone has a plan until they

9:22

have a dog man encounter. You

9:24

shared your encounters with one of your neighbors from

9:26

what I understand. How do you respond?

9:30

I'm going to say I was laughed at a little bit, you

9:34

know, because he had mentioned to me, he's

9:36

like, what are you smoking? I'm

9:39

like, I'm not smoking anything. I don't smoke. He

9:43

says the only thing I see around here

9:46

is wildlife. That's it. And

9:49

he said that's not very

9:51

often, just from time

9:53

to time. It's too bad you

9:55

responded that way, but as I'm sure

9:57

you know, most people when you approach them with an ex... experience

10:00

like that, that's what you're going to get. So

10:03

it's a shame, but that's how it normally

10:05

goes. If you've had

10:07

a dogman encounter and would like to speak with me

10:09

12:55

Alright, Dave, please tell us about your encounters

12:58

now. Give us every last detail that comes

13:00

to mind. Okay,

13:02

in August of 2020,

13:05

my son and I had a conversation

13:07

about

13:08

moving up to the PA area. So,

13:12

my wife and I, we gathered our stuff

13:16

and we moved to the PA area

13:18

and we went to live with our son and

13:20

his family

13:22

for about two weeks. And then we started

13:25

looking around and I came across

13:27

the cabin and I

13:29

went and looked at it and I told my

13:31

son, I said, I like it and I think it

13:33

would be good for us. It would work out fine. So,

13:37

we got the cabin, got the keys to it.

13:41

On August 7th of 2020,

13:44

my son came to me and said, look, I'm

13:47

not ready to kick you

13:49

out yet. He said, but let's start

13:52

moving some things into the cabin so that

13:54

we can start getting it ready for you. And

13:56

then we'll go shopping and we'll get some more stuff and

13:58

then we'll take that.

13:59

over to the cabin. So on August

14:02

7th, it was around evening time,

14:04

almost nighttime. When we arrived,

14:07

we pulled into the driveway. It

14:09

was dark out. And

14:11

I noticed something. I said to my son, I said,

14:13

man, it's really dark out here. I

14:15

said, the only light we have is coming

14:18

from up the street, across the street from

14:20

a house,

14:21

next to a farm, and

14:24

a little bit of moonlight.

14:26

He says, yeah, he says, you might want

14:28

to get some more lights.

14:30

I said, yeah. So we

14:33

get out of the vehicle and we go in and

14:35

we unlock the cabin and we come back

14:38

to the SUV and we're at the rear

14:40

of it

14:41

and pulled the dolly out, set

14:43

it on the ground. And

14:45

we both reached back inside to get

14:47

boxes. And as

14:50

we were coming around from out of the back

14:52

of the SUV, we sat

14:54

the boxes down on the ground

14:57

at the same time. And then our

15:00

head came up.

15:02

And what I saw

15:04

was a black

15:06

looking creature dog

15:10

crawling on all fours like the military

15:12

does when they're going underneath the wires or

15:15

whatever they have to crawl

15:17

under. And we look

15:19

at each other and he goes, what?

15:23

And we turned back to look at it and

15:26

it was spinning around as it spun around.

15:29

It took off

15:31

and all we saw was it

15:33

run for a couple feet and then it

15:35

just gone into the nighttime

15:37

because like I said, it was

15:39

very, very dark out there.

15:42

So

15:44

we got the boxes, we got them into the

15:46

cabin. He had mentioned before

15:49

we got there that he wanted to do a total

15:51

of three loads. So we

15:53

got the first load into the cabin.

15:57

And as we're driving back to his house, I started

15:59

to see the

15:59

talking about

16:02

what we had saw and

16:04

he was like do me a favor when we get to the

16:07

house don't see nothing around the kids and don't see

16:09

nothing around my girlfriend I said

16:11

okay I said well

16:13

what do you think you saw he said just don't

16:16

worry about it leave it alone I'm

16:18

like okay so

16:21

I didn't bother so we got back to the house

16:24

and he sat down and he just kept sitting

16:26

there sitting there and

16:28

he was watching TV and I said

16:30

we gonna go back to the cabin and take the other two loads

16:33

he says no we'll do it tomorrow

16:35

I said okay so I

16:38

went up and got ready for bed

16:41

and I went to bed that night and

16:44

got up the next day and I tried to talk to

16:47

him about it some more and he

16:50

got upset and just told

16:52

me drop it leave it alone and

16:55

I'm like okay so

17:00

me and my wife finally looked into

17:02

the cabins and we're now

17:06

settled and seven

17:08

months later on March

17:10

1st of 2021 I'm sitting in the house

17:15

and I could hear the wind kicking up so

17:18

I turned the news one and I'm watching

17:20

the weather and they're calling

17:22

for 40 to 50 mile an hour winds

17:26

you can hear chimes moving around you

17:28

can hear people's belongings

17:32

sliding such as boxes and whatever

17:36

people had under their carport

17:39

and outdoor so I told

17:43

my wife I said well you know I said tomorrow's

17:45

trash I gotta put recycle and I gotta put

17:48

the trash out and she said well

17:50

why don't you wait until morning I said no

17:53

I'm gonna do it now and get it over with so I

17:55

took the two trash cans down to the end of the driveway

17:58

I sat them there

18:00

And I come back in and

18:02

we watched some TV and it started getting late So

18:06

I ran 11 o'clock. She says I'm

18:08

gonna go to bed. I'm tired. I said, okay so

18:11

I stayed up and I watched some more

18:13

TV and

18:15

Then I said I'm gonna get

18:18

on a computer so I got on a

18:20

computer and I'm listening to you know

18:22

music from YouTube and looking at YouTube videos

18:25

and

18:26

you know just browsing and

18:29

looking at different things so

18:32

I Took

18:35

my headphones off went to the bathroom.

18:38

I come back. I Got me

18:40

a drink. I'll sit back down. I put the headphones

18:42

on for a little bit more. I'm listening

18:45

to some more music and I

18:48

Looked at the clock and I'm like, oh my

18:50

lord, it's 3 o'clock in the morning I

18:53

better get ready for bed. So I took the headphones

18:55

off just as I took the headphones

18:57

off. I

18:59

Heard a loud bang

19:02

boom I'm

19:04

like, oh lord, please tell me

19:06

what in the trash can because I was worried about

19:09

the lid You know if it blew over the

19:11

lid flipping up in the

19:12

stuff coming out and being on the street so

19:16

I Got my headlamp

19:20

that I bought for when I go outside

19:22

at night. I Put that on

19:24

I put my jacket on and

19:27

It got my slippers and I went down

19:30

to the end of the driveway and

19:33

I'm like, yeah one of them blew over so I

19:37

get up to the trash cans and

19:39

I'm leaning over and

19:41

I'm grabbing a hold of the trash can when I went

19:43

to pull it up. I

19:45

Started hearing a

19:47

car horn on and off

19:49

like somebody was just like laying

19:51

on a horn letting it go laying on

19:53

the horn letting it go and

19:56

Then all of a sudden I hear the

19:58

cars brakes lock on

19:59

When I looked up to the top

20:02

of the street, because I was expecting a

20:04

car accident, when I looked

20:06

up to the top of my street,

20:08

it's in the shape of a T. You

20:11

can go left, you can go right, and you

20:13

can come into my street. And

20:16

if you look straight ahead, you're looking at a house

20:18

that sits next to a farm, and

20:22

it's a good distance across that farm before

20:24

you get into the woods. So there's

20:26

a little light on the side of the house, and

20:28

it pretty much lights up part of the street.

20:31

So at first, I

20:33

thought I was seeing a person

20:37

just standing there. And

20:39

then the car finally came to a stop,

20:41

and it's still blowing its horn. And

20:44

I'm like, that's not a person. It

20:47

dropped to all fours and started

20:49

running down the street towards me, down

20:51

my street. And

20:54

as soon as it got to about 12 to 15

20:58

feet from me, it stood up on its hind legs,

21:01

its front paws

21:03

started boxing.

21:05

Like a horse would if it got on its hind

21:07

legs. Its two legs would

21:09

look like it's kind of

21:11

boxing. So I grabbed

21:14

the hold of the handle with

21:16

both hands as a trash can. This

21:20

thing had yellow eyes.

21:24

Its teeth were out of

21:26

this world. It

21:29

had claws, long

21:31

claws, big thick claws. It

21:34

had black hair. It was spiky

21:36

looking. Its sides were

21:38

moving in and out. It

21:41

was growling a little bit

21:44

and foaming from the bottom of its

21:46

mouth. And

21:49

I just totally

21:51

locked up the calves in

21:54

my legs. Locked up, and

21:57

then my body followed right behind that.

22:00

and just stiffened up. I couldn't

22:02

move. Suddenly it dropped

22:05

to all fours, ran in the same

22:07

direction as the first encounter

22:12

and gone in a matter

22:14

of seconds. Now, going

22:17

down my street, at

22:19

the very end, it turns into like

22:22

a circle, it dead ends.

22:24

There's a house that sits at the

22:27

bottom. There's houses

22:29

on the left and there's houses on the right and they're

22:31

all single homes with woods behind

22:33

them. So

22:35

when you get to the very bottom, that

22:38

house has woods

22:40

behind it. So I'm assuming that's

22:44

where both of them had ran to.

22:46

At that point, the

22:49

guy peels wheels, he

22:52

turns, he comes down, his window comes

22:54

down and he says, what

22:56

was that? And

22:59

I tried to talk. I couldn't do anything

23:02

but mumble. My legs were still locked.

23:05

My body was still stiff. So

23:09

the window goes back up and he takes off and

23:11

goes down into the direction where

23:14

it had ran to. By

23:16

then, I'm trying to get myself together

23:20

so I could get in the cabin

23:24

and I managed to start backing

23:26

up. And as I'm backing up, I

23:29

walked into the tree that's

23:32

in the front of my cabin in

23:34

the grass area. My back touched

23:36

it and I jumped. When I jumped, it

23:40

kind of like helped me a little

23:42

bit to be able to start moving

23:44

a little quicker. So I'm still

23:47

walking backwards but not

23:49

taking my eyes off the road. For

25:22

So I managed to

25:24

get to the cabin, I

25:27

opened the screen door, I went inside, I

25:30

pulled the screen door shut, I locked

25:32

it, I reached in my file cabinet and

25:34

I got out my gun. I stood

25:36

there and I said to myself, I

25:38

wonder if this guy's gonna come up and

25:41

wanna talk to me. He

25:44

comes flying back up the road, he stops,

25:48

his window comes down, he goes

25:50

and tries to ask me a question his

25:53

phone rings, so he gets on his phone and

25:55

he's explaining to someone what had just

25:57

happened.

25:58

And I think they were making. in front of him on

26:01

the phone because he started yelling at

26:03

him and telling him things

26:05

like, no, I'm serious. It did happen.

26:09

And then he just drove off and made a

26:11

left and I never seen him again. So,

26:15

you know, I shut the door and,

26:18

uh, I sat down at my computer. I'm

26:20

scratching my head. I'm like,

26:24

what the heck just happened to me? And

26:28

I didn't want to get

26:31

wake my wife up, you know, because it was way after three AM, so I get on

26:33

a computer and I started researching, I started

26:36

looking,

26:38

I'm looking up black dogs.

26:41

So

26:45

I started coming across stuff like, uh, dog, man,

26:47

black creature, dog,

26:50

looking creatures. So I couldn't sleep

26:52

the rest of the night. I didn't

26:54

get to sleep until daybreak. I

26:56

was up when the trash man came. I

27:00

didn't even go out and get the cans. I just went

27:02

to bed right after that. And that

27:05

was it. And

27:07

then, you know, it's been on my mind ever since. And,

27:10

uh, I don't plan on going anywhere.

27:14

So I'm just praying that I don't have a third.

27:17

Encounters

27:17

within two blocks

27:19

from where I live. There's

27:24

been Bigfoot sightings. Recently,

27:26

there's been a whole mess of UFO sightings in Bucks

27:29

County.

27:32

Every time you turn around, you're reading in the

27:34

town paper that there's

27:36

been a new UFO sighting and I still go online and

27:38

look to see if there's

27:43

been any recent, uh, news that's been

27:45

happening. And I can't get it out of

27:47

my mind. I mean, I'm not losing sleep, but I

27:50

get up and it's, uh, it's in my mind on a daily basis.

30:00

forward as we were setting the boxes

30:02

down. And like I said, when

30:04

we noticed it, both of us, at the same

30:06

time our head came up

30:09

and then we stood in an upright position

30:11

and was like, what the

30:14

heck was it? Well, I'm sure

30:16

you said something worse than that, but is there

30:18

a kid's listening? Yeah.

30:21

Yeah, I'll bet.

30:23

Was it crawling perpendicular to you

30:26

too or somewhat towards you? I

30:30

don't think it was crawling towards us because

30:32

it was still over the line.

30:35

And when I say the

30:38

line, that's where

30:40

the driveway divides

30:42

driveway into the street. So

30:44

it was still in the street. It was over the driveway

30:47

line and it didn't

30:49

look like it was turning left, which

30:52

it would have had to if it was coming

30:54

into the driveway. It just looked like it was

30:58

trying to get by unnoticed, but

31:01

we just happened to be, I guess it saw

31:03

us and we just happened to turn around at the

31:06

wrong time and

31:10

we startled it and it just,

31:13

you know, like I said, it

31:15

spun around gone. And

31:18

you know, the first time I couldn't

31:20

even get an accurate

31:23

description, you know, no eye color

31:26

or anything. I mean,

31:28

we noticed it

31:31

was dog-like looking, but

31:35

very strange. You didn't

31:37

give too many details about how it looked.

31:40

You said it was canine looking, but

31:43

did you get enough of a look at it to be able

31:45

to give us any more details about its appearance?

31:49

The first one, no, but the second

31:51

one,

31:53

I didn't take my eyes off of it.

31:55

The first one, it

31:58

just happened even quicker. And it

32:00

was gone faster than the second

32:02

one. So

32:07

there was no room to be able to

32:09

get a description the first time, because

32:12

it happened so fast. Well,

32:14

that's not your fault. You're just doing the best you

32:16

could to process that traumatic experience

32:19

so no one can fault you for that.

32:21

I'm a little cloudy on this though.

32:23

Where it was, pretty close to where your driveway

32:26

touched the street.

32:28

Was it fairly dark right there?

32:30

Or was there enough light for you to be able to tell

32:32

if it was ever looking at you or do

32:35

you know?

32:36

Well, right there where

32:38

we saw it was just a little

32:40

bit of light from the moon. If

32:43

it's a full moon out there, you can

32:45

see a lot better. If

32:47

it's cloudy out, you're not gonna

32:50

see that well unless you have a flashlight. And

32:53

like I said, the house at the top where the

32:55

T is,

32:56

the shape of the street, has a

32:58

light on the side of the house that only illuminates

33:01

the

33:02

street up there. So it just, you

33:04

know, it's like a

33:06

certain area up at the top, but

33:09

from the moonlight, you can see on

33:12

my street at times, depending on

33:14

the clouds. Sounds

33:17

like it was pretty dark over there then.

33:19

Could you make out enough detail to get a feel for how

33:21

big it was? Um,

33:26

I would say at least four feet long.

33:30

The size of

33:33

maybe a, gosh, I'm not good with dog

33:35

names. Bigger

33:39

than a lab, a full grown

33:41

lab. But it wasn't, the

33:43

first one was not heavy

33:46

and thick like

33:48

the second one. It was a

33:50

lot smaller. Yeah, must've

33:53

been a young one then. Did

33:55

you ever notice a tail on it? No.

34:00

Like I said, it happened so quick and

34:03

gone in a flash. At

34:06

first, when I saw

34:08

it, well, we both saw it at the same time, but

34:11

my opinion was I thought it was

34:13

a coyote that was

34:17

either

34:17

ugly or sick.

34:20

Because I was sure it wasn't a neighbor's

34:22

dog, it wasn't a pet dog.

34:27

A neighbor would have been nice if it was just a coyote.

36:15

On March 1st of 2021, when you had that second encounter,

36:18

you said that the loud bang you heard was why you

36:20

went outside.

36:21

Looking back, do you think the dog man had knocked that

36:24

trash can over and that's what actually made

36:26

the bang, or do you still think it was just

36:28

the wind?

36:29

Well, I think it was the wind. And

36:33

when I took the headphones off, I

36:35

could hear the wind whipping. And

36:37

then it was just a boom. And

36:40

I thought to myself, well, it's either

36:43

my neighbor's trash can or

36:46

it's one of mine.

36:48

So when I opened the door

36:50

to look out, even with the flashlight on

36:52

my head, the headlamp

36:54

still couldn't be able to tell because from

36:56

the front door,

36:57

let's see, that's about,

37:01

I would say 30 feet to the trash can. Well,

37:05

like I tell people, everything that goes bump in the

37:07

night isn't a dog man. So I'll

37:09

bet you're right. I'll bet it was just the wind blowing

37:11

that can over and that's all there was to it. Yeah,

37:15

because when I first

37:17

walked out the front door, I made sure

37:20

that I shut my screen door because I didn't want the wind to get

37:22

ahold of that and rip it off. As

37:24

I was walking across the grass, I

37:26

hadn't yet

37:28

heard the car, the car horn. From

37:31

my side vision, I didn't see anything

37:34

up at the top of the street where that little

37:36

bit of light lights up the street.

37:38

Just as I got to the trash can, I

37:40

leaned over to start pulling it up. That's when

37:42

I heard somebody laying on the horn

37:44

and then the brakes started locking up. That's

37:48

what made me look up to the top of the street. When I

37:50

looked up to the top of the street, it was

37:53

standing on two legs, but I wasn't sure.

37:55

I wasn't clear what

37:57

it was. I mean, at first, I didn't know what it was. I

38:00

you know, my first instinct was,

38:02

is that a person who's standing

38:05

in the street? You

38:08

know, and as my eyes focused, and then, you

38:10

know, I'm hearing this the

38:14

car horn, and then the brakes locking

38:17

up, and the car coming to a stop, and the

38:20

thing did not move until the car

38:22

came to a complete stop. And I would say

38:24

the car, the front of the car was

38:28

maybe six feet

38:30

from it, and then it just dropped.

38:34

And, you know, there's there's

38:36

always a lot of fog around here too. You

38:40

know, that night it was cold, it was warmer

38:42

in the daytime, but then they got colder, and the

38:44

wind kicked up, and for

38:47

some reason

38:48

it gets foggy around

38:50

here a lot. Sometimes it's from people's

38:52

fireplaces too, you know, it's just like,

38:56

lays in an area, and

39:00

I guess depending on the wind, you know,

39:02

how fast it's going to move out or whatever.

39:05

Thank goodness that guy that was honking at it didn't

39:07

make it angry.

39:08

I was concerned

39:11

about him too, because he didn't look like in

39:13

every day

39:15

John or a Joe.

39:16

He was wild looking, yeah. So

39:21

that's why I stayed

39:23

at the door. I kind of thought, you know,

39:25

maybe once he turned around

39:27

he came back up and found out that it was a dead-end

39:30

street,

39:31

that he couldn't go through, that

39:33

he would have at least came back up and,

39:36

well he did, but, you know, like I said, he

39:38

got that phone call and started

39:41

arguing with them, and then he just put his, I

39:43

saw him throw his phone in the car seat and

39:47

just take off and peel wheels and make a left

39:49

turn, and then I said, well maybe he'll come back the

39:51

next day, but I

39:53

haven't seen him since.

39:56

I'm not surprised. I don't think that guy is a fan

39:58

if you're called a sack. I

40:01

can understand why I do. Yeah.

40:05

And like I told you, these sightings,

40:08

these other sightings that people have had

40:12

are not far from my cabin. 3 13 is

40:16

a route, which is right down the street

40:18

from me, less than a half a mile. There

40:20

were

40:21

two in that area. Then

40:24

there was one up the opposite

40:26

end of where my cabin is going

40:29

in the other direction. And then there

40:31

was a Bigfoot sighting that was spotted

40:34

by a fireman and his father

40:36

coming home from the firehouse for a meeting. So

40:40

I'm like,

40:42

is there like an area where all these things

40:45

are, you know, because there's woods all the way

40:47

around? I don't know. I

40:49

don't know. Yeah. It does sound

40:51

like you live in a cryptid hotspot. Wow.

40:53

That's a lot of them around you. I

40:56

mean, I have gone out

40:59

into the side of my car port. That's

41:01

where there's a big

41:04

piece of grass property with trees and

41:06

stuff like that. And I have seen Fox. I've

41:09

seen deer and,

41:11

you know, my neighbor

41:13

has seen bear and all

41:16

sorts of things. I mean, in my

41:18

street coming into, well, I don't

41:21

want to call my street a community, but I

41:23

mean, it's just houses on the left houses

41:25

on the right one at the very bottom. And

41:28

then that's it. You'd have to come

41:31

out of my street, go

41:33

left and go right. And then it's all single

41:35

homes that are spaced apart

41:38

pretty far apart. You

41:41

know, it's like when you make a right hand turn,

41:44

you'll see a house, but then you won't

41:47

see a house for a while. And then you'll

41:49

see another house. And then you won't see another

41:51

one for a while. And it's like that on both

41:53

sides. So

41:54

there's plenty of wood

41:56

lines and wooded area in

41:59

the area. Unfortunately,

42:01

it sounds to me like a great place for a dogman

42:03

to make a living. Could be.

42:06

Well, I tell you, I pray

42:09

every day that I don't have

42:11

to go through this again. I don't want to see another

42:13

one. I mean, that's the

42:15

first one I was

42:18

concerned. I was puzzled. I was... It

42:21

stayed on my mind, but that second one, that

42:24

second one did it. I can understand

42:27

why. That'd be so traumatic, but you're

42:29

okay. It never harmed you. It

42:31

could have. It had every opportunity to

42:34

harm you, but it didn't do that, so

42:36

I

42:36

hope you never lose sight of that fact. Oh,

42:39

I will. Good man. Yeah,

42:41

I hope you never do. Yeah,

42:44

but it's, you know, like I said, on a daily

42:46

basis, it's still in my mind. I

42:48

mean, at any second, it just

42:51

pops up when it wants to. Oh,

42:53

I'm sure it does. Like I said, that's

42:55

totally natural. It's just one of those

42:57

things that was such a profound experience that

43:00

you're gonna think about it all the time. And

43:03

if it's nighttime and I have to go out

43:05

to the carport to take a little

43:08

small bag of trash or something, or

43:10

recycle, as soon as I touch that

43:12

doorknob, I'm like, hmm.

43:15

And

43:15

my wife's like, hon, please be careful.

43:18

I said, I will. But

43:20

I got a light out there now, so all I do is just flick

43:22

the switch and my carport

43:25

and my driveway slid up, but it doesn't go all

43:27

the way out to the street.

43:29

Twice bitten three times shy.

43:32

Yeah, you can go out in the middle of my street

43:35

and look down. And all you're

43:37

gonna see is a red blinking light. I'm not sure

43:39

what that red blinking light is for, but

43:42

it sits all the way down at the cul-de-sac,

43:45

all the way at the bottom. I'm not

43:47

sure what that red blinking, I've never gone down

43:49

to see

43:50

what that red blinking light's for. That's

43:54

the only thing you can see. You can't tell

43:57

what's in the distance if you're looking down. my

44:00

route. Yeah, it does sound pretty

44:02

desolate and isolated, but like

44:04

I said, that sounds like a great place to live to

44:07

me. When it came down to

44:09

your street and stood up, how tall would you

44:11

say it was? Oh,

44:13

well, Vic, I'm six foot. It

44:16

was taller to me, but not too much taller. So

44:20

I would say almost

44:22

seven foot, six

44:24

something. And

44:27

the first one, like I said,

44:29

didn't look like it was any longer than four

44:31

feet. If that's all the

44:33

taller that second one was, it was also

44:35

a young one. Yeah,

44:38

it was. It was

44:41

the best way I can describe it. It

44:44

looked like a werewolf or

44:46

an ugly creature from a horror movie

44:48

on steroids. That's the best way

44:51

I can put it.

44:53

Not to raise unhappy thoughts, but

44:55

just imagine after it grows up what it's

44:57

going to look like. I

44:59

never did really

45:02

research, you know, as far as the part how

45:04

big they get, how big do they get?

45:07

Well, you can have a big meal that's 12 feet tall.

45:10

Oh, my God. But understand,

45:12

though, if you run into the big ones, they're

45:15

a lot less likely to mess with you than

45:17

the smaller ones are. Almost every

45:19

encounter that you're going to hear about is

45:21

where a smaller one, a juvie,

45:24

decides to mess with a person, not a 12 footer.

45:27

It does happen where people bump into 11 footers, 12

45:29

footers, but

45:31

normally you're not going to find the big

45:34

ones actually going out of the way to

45:36

mess with you. Again, you're talking about mature

45:38

on this hand versus

45:41

immature

45:42

on this hand. After

45:44

you made it inside, Dave, you got your gun

45:46

out, you said. What kind of gun was it? Nine

45:50

millimeters. Ew.

45:53

Yeah, you know, I thought about

45:56

that after I did that. I'm like,

45:58

probably

45:59

wouldn't even done

46:02

anything. Well it would have made

46:04

him mad. Yeah it's

46:06

just a you know a natural instinct

46:08

for me. Oh sure

46:10

you were so rattled that any

46:12

source of comfort that you could possibly

46:15

get your hands on is what you're gonna head for so

46:17

it's only understandable that you wouldn't

46:19

got your gun out and

46:20

kept it at the ready in hand.

47:55

What's your wife's take been on these two encounters?

47:57

Does she seem to believe you?

48:00

Uh, she, I think

48:02

I scared her at first.

48:06

She was saying things to me like, I'm

48:08

not going to have to insert at night. I'm

48:11

like, sure you will. I

48:13

said, I'll be right there with you. But

48:17

she joked around with me a few times. You

48:19

know, like I said, when I have to go out to the car port, cause

48:21

I'm going to only keep it up, even a small bag

48:23

of

48:24

waste, you know, from dinner or whatever. If

48:27

I have to go out to the car port, she, uh,

48:29

a few times has said to me, better watch

48:31

it like watch what?

48:35

Oh, and then I'm like,

48:37

okay, I see what you're saying. I said, no,

48:39

I'll be all right. So

48:42

I go out there and,

48:44

uh, now I'm waiting for a raccoon to be

48:46

out there and, you know, go out

48:48

there and put something in the trash and go to

48:50

turn around and then hear this like,

48:53

uh, you know, the noise they make to get away. So

48:57

I don't know. Well, I hope a raccoon

49:00

doesn't terrify you like that. You

49:03

frightened her by telling her. You said with

49:05

that in mind, do you wish you would have kept this encounters

49:07

to yourself? Uh,

49:10

I wish that would have kept it to myself because,

49:13

uh, you know, like I said,

49:15

at first she was, uh, not

49:18

wanting to, you know, go outside and

49:20

sit and relax and,

49:22

you know, get some fresh air.

49:25

And I'm like, you know, I said to myself,

49:27

look what I did, you know, but

49:30

then, you know, she's okay now.

49:33

I say, let's go out and sit under the carport,

49:35

get our chairs out. She's fine. Oh,

49:39

good. I'm glad she's doing better now. And

49:42

please keep in mind, if she ever thinks that she'd

49:44

feel better, if she could speak with me about dog

49:46

men and about your encounters, all you have

49:48

to do is just let her know and let me know I'd

49:50

be happy to schedule that conversation. If

49:52

it's going to help her feel better and

49:54

deal with the fact that you do live in dogmen in the

49:56

country. Right. Well,

49:58

you know, the information. that you shared with

50:01

me. I shared with her about the odds

50:03

of being attacked and

50:05

she's like, yeah, but you never

50:08

know. I'm like, true,

50:10

but you know. You

50:25

know, I was going to put a trail

50:28

cam out, but I was told you're

50:30

wasting your time. Well, Brian told me he said

50:32

you'd be wasting your time because they

50:35

keep some away because they can see it. The

50:38

LED lights are. ** Oh

50:41

yeah. Yeah, they can normally see that.

50:43

And when you say Brian, he's talking about Brian

50:45

Tyrell. I put him in the contact with Brian

50:47

because I thought it might benefit him to have

50:50

a conversation with Brian.

50:52

No surprise, it did benefit

50:54

him. We talked

50:56

about, he said he had a woman

50:58

call him about

51:01

a dog man encounter.

51:04

And he mentioned to me that

51:06

she believed it had something to do with her trash.

51:10

So he said, you might want to look at your

51:14

two dates and see

51:16

if both of those dates were

51:18

a trash day. I was

51:21

like, really? Okay.

51:23

I said, I'll look at the two dates

51:25

and

51:26

compare them and

51:28

see what I get. ** That

51:30

was a good idea because, yeah, they do go

51:32

through trash. You

51:34

said that you're not losing sleep, but I'm still a little

51:37

confused here. Where are you at with

51:39

all this present day, Dave? Are you having any

51:41

problems dealing with those two experiences

51:43

or when you think about it, are you just

51:46

reflecting? **

51:48

I

51:50

don't think it's bothering me

51:52

where it's causing me to lose sleep.

51:57

Regardless, I lose sleep because of the

51:59

dying of the dog. **

51:59

diabetes with

52:01

neuropathy, but I could lay

52:03

there

52:05

and I noticed some nights

52:07

I'll lay there and think about a number

52:09

of things

52:10

and then all of a sudden dog man the

52:13

encounter pops up in my mind

52:15

and I'll start thinking about it for I

52:17

don't know 10-15 minutes and If

52:22

I can't sleep I'll get up but no

52:24

I'm not losing sleep. I'm pretty

52:27

much okay being able to

52:30

Fall asleep, but like I said, there's times

52:32

where I can't sleep because of neuropathy Well

52:35

goes without saying I'm so glad to hear that the

52:38

dog man encounters aren't what's keeping me up

52:40

I hate to hear about the neuropathy though and

52:42

the fact that that is but

52:44

At least the dog man encounters aren't traumatizing

52:46

you so much that you can't function Thank

52:49

goodness for that It's

52:52

nowhere is near as

52:54

bad as it was For

52:56

the second encounter that night when

52:59

it happened Like I said,

53:01

I couldn't sleep the rest of the night and then you

53:03

know the next few days after that I Was

53:07

okay being able to fall asleep

53:10

But the first three or

53:12

four days after the second encounter

53:15

was constantly on my

53:17

mind. I

53:19

Just couldn't get it to

53:21

Like okay, can you go away for a while? Let me

53:23

think about something else. Let me Do

53:26

something else? but now

53:29

it was there for a good three or four days and then

53:31

it eats up and Like

53:34

I said, I don't lose sleep over it.

53:36

I've been pretty much. Okay ever since

53:39

Well, that's great Yeah, sounds like you

53:41

got over your encounters much quicker than most

53:44

eyewitnesses get over there So I'm

53:46

glad you're able to deal with it. So well You

53:49

have relatives in West Virginia who have had

53:51

a dog man encounter their own. What did

53:53

they tell you about their experience? well

53:57

my cousin she

54:01

got up about four

54:03

o'clock in the morning. She had to pick her boyfriend

54:05

up from work. He had worked

54:08

overnight and she

54:12

was going off the property

54:14

and she made a left onto

54:16

the road. And as she was driving,

54:20

she saw three

54:22

deer. And let me say

54:24

this, it had just gotten daylight

54:27

when she left. So it

54:30

was just starting to get daylight. Now

54:32

when she made the left, she said she

54:34

saw three deer running towards her so

54:36

she had to come to a stop. When

54:39

the deer saw her

54:41

stop, two ran

54:44

off one side of the road, one ran off

54:46

the other side and right behind

54:48

it was this massive

54:52

black looking dog standing on two

54:54

legs. And

54:57

she said it was about eight,

54:59

nine feet tall.

55:01

She said it was humongous

55:04

and she didn't know what to

55:06

do. So she was

55:08

thinking, should I blow the horn and try to scare it

55:10

off? She said she

55:13

just sat still. So

55:15

it dropped and it ran off.

55:19

She went and picked up her boyfriend, came back, she

55:21

told him about it and he laughed at her.

55:25

About a month later, him

55:27

and another

55:29

one of my cousins that

55:31

lives on the property were

55:36

getting in the car and they were driving. It's

55:38

a dirt road that comes off the property

55:40

and it comes out to the main road.

55:43

As they were going down the

55:45

dirt road, this black

55:48

looking dog creature was

55:51

running alongside the car and

55:54

keeping up with them. So

55:57

my cousin said the black

56:01

dog looking creature was running next

56:03

to the car. So he decided to slam

56:06

when it breaks and when he did, it kicked up

56:08

a lot of dirt and dust. And

56:10

they're like looking left, looking right,

56:12

looking to see

56:14

where this thing was. And he

56:17

said they sat still in the car

56:19

until the dust

56:22

kind of settled. And when it settled,

56:24

the thing was standing on its hind legs,

56:27

about 10 feet away off the side of

56:29

the road, just staring at them.

56:31

And then it just took off, dropped

56:34

all fours and took off. So

56:37

when he went back, you

56:39

know, to his girlfriend, he's like, okay,

56:43

I got something I have to share with you. He

56:45

said, I believe you know about your story.

56:48

But now I got one to tell you. So

56:50

he told her, and they

56:52

compared notes and the

56:55

one that he saw, he

56:57

could tell that it wasn't exactly the one

57:00

she saw, because it was a little bit smaller

57:02

than the one she had seen.

57:06

And another thing about their property

57:08

is, when my nephew goes

57:11

out to

57:14

go hunting, or do

57:16

some work on the land, he has

57:19

found footprints. He

57:21

has had things thrown at him. He

57:23

has heard screams

57:26

like a woman screaming. And

57:28

he said he pretty much hears that late at night when he's

57:31

sitting out on the back deck and

57:33

up in the hills because they live in the, I

57:36

mean, right dead smack behind the house

57:38

is the Appalachians. It's

57:41

a hill that goes way up and, you know, starts

57:43

going up into the mountains. And they've

57:47

found huge, not

57:50

big footprints, but they

57:53

believe it to be dog man prints

57:57

in the dirt area in the mud. and

58:00

they've had people look at the

58:02

prints and they're

58:05

like, no, that's, that's too big

58:07

to be a coyote or,

58:09

you know. Yeah, coyote

58:12

prints don't get that big.

58:14

Dave, I can't thank you enough for coming on and sharing

58:16

the details of those experiences with us.

58:19

I really appreciate it. Thank

58:21

you. Thank you for having me on. It's

58:24

been an honor. Well, it's been an

58:26

honor having you on. Thanks again

58:28

so much for your time and have a great night.

58:57

Thank you.
