Wait, where'd you park the car? Oh, the one I just sold to Carvana.

0:23

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to get it back.

0:25

I'm

0:25

going to have to go back to the car. So great. Wait,

0:28

where'd you park the car? Oh, the one I just sold to Carvana. What?

0:31

When did you do that? When you were still looking at the menu. I

0:33

went on Carvana.com and all I had to do was enter

0:35

the license plate or VIN, answer a few questions,

0:37

and got a real offer in seconds.

0:38

They picked up the car already? No, I parked around the

0:40

corner. But they are picking it up tomorrow and

0:43

paying me right on the spot. Oh, no wonder you

picked up the check. Yeah, about that. Thought

2:23

Tonight's guest is Trevor. Trevor,

2:25

welcome to the show. Thank

2:28

you, Vic. Well, thank you. Thanks

2:30

for coming on. I appreciate your time. Trevor,

2:33

please give us a brief bio on yourself.

2:37

I'm 25 years old. I grew up in Illinois.

2:40

I grew up around nature. I was in

2:42

Boy Scouts. I like nature

2:45

and wildlife, so I've

2:47

done my hunting and fishing. You

2:50

just said that you like nature and wildlife.

2:52

After you have those bad dog man encounters you're

2:55

going to tell us about tonight, do you still have that appreciation

2:57

for nature and wildlife, or do you try

2:59

to avoid the woods at all costs?

3:03

Vic, I still have the appreciation for nature

3:05

and being out in the woods. I won't be

3:07

out in the woods by myself,

3:10

but I will go out in the woods and fish at

3:12

night and stuff like that. I

3:15

can understand why you wouldn't want to be in the woods alone after

3:17

the encounters you're going to talk about

3:19

tonight. That's totally understandable.

3:23

We're here to talk about all the dog man encounters

3:25

you've had, but they're not the only creepy

3:27

things you've had encounters with. Please

3:29

talk us through that. Vic,

3:33

most of my grandparents' houses,

3:35

they had the old 1850s, the

3:39

old Civil War aged or

3:42

older houses. So there's

3:44

been some fair share of paranormal

3:46

stuff that I've dealt with. Ghosts

3:49

and demons hearing disembodied

3:52

voices and stuff.

6:00

extreme thing you've done to try to come to terms

6:02

with them? The

6:04

most extreme? I

6:06

would say it

6:10

seems like we're dealing with any kind of trauma. It seems

6:12

like a lot of people go to alcohol and drugs

6:14

and that's kind of the route I went

6:18

to cope with everything as self-medicate

6:21

to try to outrun the problems.

6:24

Wow, well it goes without saying I'm

6:26

so sorry to hear that you had to resort to that to

6:28

try to come to terms with them. How

6:31

much is your ability to do normal things been

6:33

compromised? I

6:36

used to be able to go out in the woods and fish

6:40

and go hiking and camping by

6:42

myself and I can't do that

6:44

no more. I've

6:47

experienced them more by myself than with

6:50

other people. So

6:53

like the whole saying goes, safety

6:57

in numbers. It

6:59

goes without saying I sure hope that some days soon

7:01

you're able to head back into the woods without any trouble

7:03

and have a great time the way you used to

7:05

at one point. But time

7:08

won't tell. Why do you

7:10

think it is that you've had so many encounters with

7:12

dog men, Trevor? I

7:14

don't know. I'm either very lucky

7:16

or very unlucky, Vic. I

7:19

really can't answer that one because it's

7:21

one of those things that's like asking why I've

7:24

had so many encounters with ghosts and

7:26

demons. It's

7:28

one of those things that it's hard to

7:30

explain because it's like you

7:33

never know when this stuff

7:36

will happen to you. A lot

7:38

of times it just happens out of nowhere. I

7:41

think I know the answer to that question. Some

7:44

people are just magnets for these things

7:47

and I think that's what you are. You must be a magnet

7:49

and they're drawn to you for whatever reason.

7:51

Unfortunately.

7:53

If you've had a dog man encounter and would like to

7:56

speak with me about it whether I'm private or on

7:58

the show, please go to Dogman. me

8:00

on Encounters.com and submit a report.

8:03

If you've had a Bigfoot sighting and would like to be a

8:05

guest on one of my two Bigfoot shows, please

8:08

go to MyBigFootSighting.com

8:10

and let me know.

8:12

Besides me, the only other people you've shared

8:14

your encounters with, until now that is,

8:16

have been two friends of yours.

8:19

How'd they respond when you told them?

8:22

Well, Nick, I've known, they're

8:24

both girls. I've known them

8:27

for at least 15 years, and

8:31

one of them actually lives in a haunted house

8:34

and has spirits and stuff. And

8:37

they know me as the type of person. I'm

8:39

not a jumpy type of person. I'm not

8:41

a skittish person by nature. And

8:44

the fact that I refuse to talk about

8:47

my encounters with

8:50

demons and dogmen, compared

8:54

to like talking about my experiences with

8:56

spirits, they

8:58

know that it

9:01

messed me up. Well, yeah,

9:03

when you have the experiences that you're going to tell us about

9:05

tonight, that's going to mess Primus Genuine up. Yeah,

9:08

they're really intense. Speaking

9:10

of that, Trevor, please tell us about them now. Give

9:13

us every last detail that comes to mind. I

9:17

grew up in a little small village on

9:20

the Mississippi, and

9:22

it's called Elsa. And there was

9:24

like a subdivision up on the

9:26

bluffs. There was like this big,

9:28

long, windy road going up the hill. It

9:32

was surrounded by farmlands

9:35

and woods and the bluffs. But

9:38

the college that is in actual Elsa

9:40

itself owns a lot of that property,

9:44

the bluffs and the stuff for

9:47

whatever courses they may have, I don't

9:49

know, because it's a kind of a Christian

9:51

college. So I

9:54

lived up in the little subdivision above

9:57

Elsa.

14:00

but behind a kind of like

14:02

a zoo, my

14:03

own little personal zoo.

14:06

But they got to free room. They got to

14:08

leave whenever they wanted.

14:11

So my mom and

14:13

my sister's biological dad,

14:15

they slept in the basement.

14:19

Me and my sister slept upstairs. My

14:22

room was on the far left and my

14:24

sister's room was on the far right. Both

14:27

of our windows had the big glass windows

14:31

that had like glass on the inside,

14:33

a screen in the middle, and then a glass on the outside.

14:36

And then on the sides,

14:38

had the little basement windows

14:40

on the sides

14:42

of the rooms. So you had

14:44

like a little slit where you can still look out

14:47

and see,

14:48

but it wasn't like a big window.

14:51

You know, as a little kid, I had to stand up on

14:53

my bed and whatnot, just to be able

14:55

to look out the window. I

14:58

don't exactly remember the day

15:01

or what the weather was like. So

15:04

I can't give you the accurate details

15:06

of that. My parents

15:08

would put me and my sister to bed around 8.30,

15:12

nine o'clock. I

15:15

would still be up for at least an hour, hour

15:17

or two, because

15:20

I had difficulty sleeping even as a kid before

15:22

my encounters. My

15:25

bed sat underneath the little slit

15:27

window in my bedroom. And

15:31

I laid and faced the wall all the time and

15:33

would listen to my dogs from

15:35

outside scurry around looking, because

15:37

they would kill rattlesnakes that would come up into

15:39

the yard at night

15:41

or whatnot and kill them. So

15:44

I didn't hear them

15:47

this night. It was, to me, it was weird.

15:49

So I was like, because I would fall asleep

15:51

listening to that as well as the sounds

15:53

of nature, because my little

15:56

tiny window above my bed, it

15:58

would be cracked during this.

15:59

late winter,

16:01

early spring, to let

16:03

in fresh air. So

16:08

I'm six years old. I was

16:11

facing the wall like

16:14

I normally always did to go to bed

16:17

and then I would listen to nature and whatnot.

16:19

I didn't hear nothing,

16:22

which was weird because you know

16:25

I'm so used to hearing all the noises and

16:28

not hear any of it was kind of kind

16:30

of scary as a kid. So

16:36

I rolled over

16:39

onto my back and looked

16:41

out the window. I had like

16:43

a thin curtain where

16:45

you just still see through it from the outside

16:47

in and then vice versa.

16:50

So I

16:52

rolled over,

16:55

kind of had my head propped up

16:57

on the pillow.

17:00

Looking out the window, I see

17:02

when I first

17:05

saw it, I thought it was one of my dogs

17:10

in the window. And

17:13

then I kept looking at it and

17:16

I noticed it wasn't one of my dogs because

17:18

it was way too big to be one of my dogs.

17:23

And I, it had

17:25

like the face, like

17:28

the classic wolf

17:32

face with like the dohemian

17:35

or dog ears up top of

17:38

their head. They

17:40

were perked up, looked

17:42

like little arrows pointing

17:45

up towards the sky. The eyes were like a

17:50

yellowish kind of like

17:52

a red because we, I, give

17:57

me a second Vic.

18:00

You're doing fine. Take your time.

18:11

Sorry,

18:13

I started feeling sick to my stomach talking about

18:15

it. Oh, now I understand.

18:18

There's no rush. Please do take your

18:20

time. I

18:22

had like the classic timber

18:25

wolf face and like the

18:27

classic Doberman point of ears

18:30

for its head and I had like the

18:32

yellowish red eyes just

18:34

staring back at me and

18:36

add. It

18:39

kind of was standing up on its hind legs.

18:42

They had one hand completely

18:45

down, like kind of off to its side a little bit out

18:47

in front of it,

18:49

but it was the one hand was like. It

18:53

was you couldn't see it from where

18:55

I was at, but you could see. It

18:59

kind of looked like overgrown raccoon hands.

19:04

Or Paul's. But

19:08

it had like four long fingers with

19:10

like dagger like claws. I

19:14

would say they were probably ever bit

19:17

of six to seven inches long. The claws were and the fingers.

19:21

You could have easily put a size. 15 ring

19:27

on its fingers. Give

19:29

or take. It

19:32

had its hand pressed up against

19:34

the outer glass pane kind of just

19:37

barely touching it. It

19:40

was black as night. It

19:43

was. I

19:45

didn't really. Pay

19:48

attention too much to its teeth. I

19:51

was just trying to wrap my head around the fact that how big it was.

19:56

Because it was it was massive.

23:34

This next encounter happened in between Jerseyville

23:40

and Shipman. My

23:43

mom's now second husband.

23:46

They got married that year in June

23:50

and it was in 09. So,

23:54

I spent a lot of

23:56

time out

23:58

at my stepdad's. mom's

24:01

house who had a like an old farmhouse

24:04

they had probably

24:07

ever been of eight

24:09

acres or so of land

24:13

and it was like kind of

24:15

hilly but not too

24:18

hilly to where it was like it

24:20

was hilly enough where if you went down

24:23

the hill and went up the hill you got a nice decent

24:25

workout walking up and down

24:27

these hills where

24:30

the road set there was a field

24:33

across from my step-grandmother's house

24:37

it was had corn they just

24:39

harvested it and

24:41

then there was I would

24:44

say about a hundred yards from where

24:47

the house

24:49

and like a straight line was like

24:51

the big whole barn tool shed that

24:54

had all their big

24:56

mowers and stuff for

24:59

farming because they farmed

25:02

hay and we

25:04

had like a hay field over near on

25:07

the far

25:09

side of the property because

25:11

they used to have hogs too this

25:14

was before I was born

25:16

is when they had hogs so

25:18

they had a hog barn all

25:21

the way in the very back

25:23

pretty much nestled in like a kind of a

25:26

look like a perfect sea

25:28

grove of like trees behind it it

25:30

was like nestled perfectly in like the trees

25:33

where there was enough space to where you had

25:35

a clear view around it but then

25:37

there was trees there

25:40

was two outhouses on the property there

25:42

was the one was the

25:45

old-fashioned wooden

25:48

walls porta potty with

25:50

like the moon crescent moon in

25:52

it and the door and

25:55

then there was an actual like you know the

25:57

construction porta potties over by

25:59

that near of a house, as

26:01

well as there was also a bathroom and a shower

26:04

and stuff in the actual

26:06

house. I love

26:09

spending a lot of time out there because they

26:11

had

26:11

blackberry bushes.

26:14

We had our own garden out there where

26:16

we grew our own vegetables, so like

26:19

peas and carrots

26:21

and so on. They

26:24

also had an abandoned greenhouse too

26:27

on the property that was used for storage.

26:31

But there was at least a

26:34

good five,

26:36

six acres of woods around

26:38

the property too. Because

26:42

my grandmother owned one property and then

26:44

the next property over was

26:47

owned by my step aunt at the time.

26:50

So we had her

26:53

property that we could hunt on as well as

26:55

my grandmother's property. Me

26:59

and my stepdad would go out every hunting season

27:01

on the weekends when I was out of school and we would

27:03

go hunting. And

27:05

this was November 28th, 29th of 09. I

27:13

was staying out there. I

27:15

think I was helping my grandmother with helping

27:18

her out on the property. I don't exactly

27:21

remember what I was helping her with, but

27:25

I liked my own privacy so I would stay

27:27

in my stepdad camper who we

27:29

wouldn't almost stay in anyway during

27:31

hunting season.

27:34

So anytime I would stay out there, I would stay out

27:36

in the, especially if I was by myself with

27:38

my, out there with my grandmother, I would stay out there

27:40

in that camper.

27:41

So I had my own space. And

27:45

there was two entrances to the property.

27:47

There was the main drive and

27:49

then there was like a little side access

27:53

where there was, it was a kind of

27:55

like a farmer access where

27:57

we could come up with like the four wheelers or.

28:00

the four wheel drive vehicles and

28:03

not really damaged the yard

28:05

any. But my stepdad's

28:08

camper sat kind of inside

28:10

the pole barn where

28:13

it was open facing that second access

28:16

point. Because we would

28:18

take the four wheelers in and out of that way, mainly,

28:21

we would take the main vehicles in and out

28:23

of the main drive.

28:25

So the house in the pole barn

28:27

itself set up on a hill overlooking

28:30

the road. And

28:32

it was like the little hitch campers.

28:36

It was like all contained in one spot, there was

28:38

really no rooms. It was just like

28:41

all in one spot. It was like small.

28:44

The dining table

28:46

folded down into a bed. And

28:49

then it had like a bunk beds

28:52

and then it it had a bathroom,

28:54

but the bathroom was.

28:57

I don't know exactly what was wrong with it, but the

28:59

bathroom didn't work.

29:01

It was basically where we stored the

29:04

bows and the gun for when we went

29:06

hunting.

29:07

And then we had our hunting clothes up above

29:10

where my stepdad would sleep on the bottom

29:12

bunk

29:13

of that bunk bed set. We would have our hunting

29:16

clothes

29:17

up there and then we have like a little kitchen sink

29:20

and then like a kitchen counter

29:22

thing and cabinets. And

29:25

then you had like a little four

29:27

foot by. I

29:30

would say. A

29:33

little cubby hole where you could stick your like your

29:35

boots and stuff, but it went far enough

29:38

back to where it could fit a.

29:41

Good size. Person

29:44

if you really wanted to hide under there. And.

29:49

The camper said about 50.

29:52

feet away from the

29:54

outhouse out there. So

29:57

if you had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

30:00

you would grab a flashlight off the counter and walk

30:02

out there, shine your flashlight

30:04

so you don't trip over anything. So

30:09

it was dark enough to where I needed a flashlight.

30:13

Because you know, like full moons,

30:15

you can have that light where you can see. So

30:18

it was dark enough

30:20

to where you required a flashlight. Like you couldn't

30:23

see more than like maybe

30:26

your arm length in front of you

30:28

without any light.

30:31

But you could see shadows off in the distance

30:33

or whatnot. Because

30:35

that road was kind of well lit because

30:38

of all the farmers.

30:40

So I just took my

30:42

medicine. I was

30:44

getting all ready to go to bed and everything.

30:48

I needed

30:49

to go to the bathroom. So I grabbed the flashlight

30:51

and I walked out and I went

30:53

to the outhouse to go to the bathroom

30:56

and do my business. And

30:58

then as I was coming

31:00

back, because I

31:03

had the flashlight pointed down enough to

31:05

where I could see like in front of my feet, a

31:07

good 15, 20 feet

31:10

ahead of my feet. So

31:12

I got about 10, 15 feet

31:15

away from the camper door. And

31:19

I seen something weird off in the distance

31:22

all across the road near the cornfield.

31:25

It's already been harvest. So seeing

31:28

coyotes and deer was normal

31:30

to see out there. But

31:32

this, it looked from

31:35

a distance, the shape of the shadow, it

31:37

looked like a overgrown hyena

31:41

jacked up on steroids. It

31:44

had like the dog, like

31:47

hind legs. And then it kind of went

31:49

up, had like the

31:52

little hump in the back. And then it

31:54

had its arms that were like extremely

31:57

long in the front. And

32:00

it had the elongated wolf

32:03

face. This one

32:05

didn't have like the Doberman pincher

32:08

ears. It had like kind of like the

32:11

ears were kind of, they

32:13

looked kind of flopped a little bit.

32:15

Like they were, I don't know how

32:17

to describe it. It kind of looked like, you know

32:20

how some dogs have like the little flops

32:22

on the little tops? Like,

32:24

well, it kind of, that's what it kind of looked like. Like the

32:27

ears kind of flopped over like, you know,

32:30

you would see on like beagles and little

32:33

wire hair terriers. But

32:35

it wasn't like pronounced, like

32:37

it covered the whole ear. It

32:40

was just like just right at the tips where

32:42

it just kind of flopped over

32:44

just enough to where it was

32:46

noticeable. Not

32:49

realizing it. I brought the

32:52

flashlight up because I was

32:54

curious to see what I was looking at. I

32:56

thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and

32:59

my imagination was going wild. You know how

33:01

kids are with being scared of the

33:03

dark and whatnot. So

33:06

I brought the light up thinking it was

33:08

just my mind playing tricks on me. I

33:12

brought it up just enough to catch its

33:14

eyes and I saw

33:17

the eye glow on it was like, like a

33:19

red, like a pale redish

33:22

color. And

33:25

that's when it stopped

33:27

moving. And

33:30

then it turned its head and

33:32

faced me. And

33:35

that's when I got to go look at

33:38

its face. Leftovers.

34:10

It was like. The

34:13

canines were the

34:15

top canines and the bottom canines kind

34:17

of overlapped a little bit. And

34:21

they're ever better, probably as long as my

34:24

adult fingers. They

34:26

were massive. Massive

34:29

teeth. And massive

34:31

canines, the canines are what in

34:33

the eyes and just general appearance

34:36

stood out.

34:37

It was big.

34:40

Like I said, it looked like a hyena on stare,

34:43

like it's done steroids since it was a puppy

34:45

in the womb. It

34:48

kept looking at me.

34:51

It never moved its head to take

34:53

its eyes away from me,

34:55

and it stood up and it sounded like

34:57

bones breaking. Or

35:00

like knuckles cracking as it's

35:02

standing up and you could hear

35:04

it having difficulty, like it sounded

35:07

like it was having problems breathing

35:10

because it. You

35:13

know, it knows that it can do

35:16

it, it's like the weight on its chest

35:18

and everything was not meant to be like

35:21

that. I

35:23

was still like had the flashlight

35:25

on it, staring at it. And

35:29

I saw its arms were. Massive.

35:35

And like. It

35:39

had like like the raccoon hands.

35:41

It looked like from a distance. And

35:46

cause that are ever better. Five, six inches long.

35:49

Or more. And

35:54

when it finally stood all the way up. It

35:57

was ever better. bed

36:00

of eight, nine feet

36:02

tall and

36:04

it had never moved.

36:07

It kept its eyes,

36:09

both its eyes, fixated on me

36:11

and then it rotated its body

36:13

to align with it to face

36:16

me. As

36:18

soon as it turned and its body

36:20

was facing me, I don't

36:23

know if I dropped the flashlight.

36:26

What I did, all I know is as

36:29

soon as it turned, I was already

36:32

running as quickly as I could into

36:36

the camper and I locked that

36:38

camper door and grabbed

36:40

my black blanket and I called in that little

36:42

four by eight space thinking

36:46

I was trying

36:48

to hide from it. And

36:52

all I hear is boom,

36:55

boom, boom. It

36:58

was running up that hill like it was nothing

37:02

and it came around to that camper door and I was

37:04

trying to open that camper door and it was shaking

37:06

the whole camper.

37:12

And it would do this for

37:15

a good two minutes.

37:18

It would try to shake the camper

37:20

door and try shaking it open and

37:22

everything. And

37:24

then I would walk into the window

37:27

where I would normally sleep on where that

37:30

dining room table sat that felt,

37:32

it felt

37:36

like it

37:39

was all freeze.

37:42

But it was like trying to open the door but

37:44

it would shake the whole camper.

37:48

And then it would do that for two minutes and

37:51

then walk over to the window

37:54

that over hung

37:57

the where my bed would be where

38:00

where the kid, usually the dining

38:02

table would be in this camper, but

38:04

it was pulled it down for me to have a bet.

38:07

It would look in the window, frankly,

38:09

you heard that it was

38:11

like a low growl. It

38:15

was like, it

38:22

would look in the window. And

38:25

then it would

38:28

go look in the other windows and

38:31

then run, it'll

38:34

go back to the camper door

38:37

and start trying to

38:39

open the door again and just shaking the camper

38:41

while it's doing it.

38:44

It did this

38:47

most of the night

38:50

until about early morning.

38:54

And about 3, 3,

38:57

4 o'clock comes around. It

39:03

finally lets out this

39:08

guttural blood curdling

39:10

woman demonic scream

39:12

or howl or whatever. It

39:15

sounded like it came from like the Exorcist

39:17

movies. And

39:20

then all you could hear in the distance

39:23

after it let out that it was boom,

39:26

boom, boom, and back into the woods and disappeared.

39:29

I didn't hear it. I heard it run

39:31

off into the woods and disappear. But

39:35

it,

39:36

when I was looking at it before I

39:38

dipped and went into the camper,

39:41

it

39:42

kind of had the, it

39:45

was like a bodybuilder's

39:50

upper body. And

39:52

it kind of looked like it had its tail like

39:54

curled up underneath covering like its genitalia

39:57

or whatever. It

40:01

was like curled up underneath. And

40:06

the smell was awful. It

40:11

sounded like it smelled like

40:14

when you shoot a deer in the gut and

40:16

it dies and you go to gut it.

40:18

It smelled like that but 10 times

40:21

worse. It

40:23

smelled like rotting animal

40:26

that's been out in the sun for 10 days. So

40:34

my third encounter happened when I was with

40:36

a buddy of mine. He was coming

40:38

to Jerseyville to pick me up. He

40:42

lived in Campsville. So we did our little

40:44

road trip where we talked about personal

40:47

stuff and

40:49

he would ask me for a vise on

40:51

some things and vice versa.

40:53

And his car was a little, it

40:55

was like a little Chevy car. It was red.

40:59

They had four doors and they had a back seat

41:01

with a baby seat in the back because

41:03

at the time the girl he was with had

41:06

a baby. So he had a baby seat in the

41:08

back. And he lived in

41:10

Calhoun County. So we

41:12

would go take these back roads

41:14

to go up towards Eldred

41:17

and over to the Campsville

41:20

Ferry. That would take us across

41:22

the Mississippi. I think it's

41:25

either the Mississippi or the Illinois River. I could

41:27

be either one. I don't know.

41:30

I think it might have been the Illinois River.

41:33

But I could be wrong. I

41:36

don't know. It's been a

41:38

while since I've been over in there. Anyway,

41:42

it was like kind of in the

41:44

middle of the night. And

41:46

I would go and I would go to say with him and his

41:48

girl for a week or two

41:51

and I would help out around and help

41:53

work on the cars and whatnot.

41:56

So we're driving these not

41:59

really dirt roads.

41:59

road country roads, they were

42:02

like little

42:02

paved highways. They had little,

42:05

it was like a little two lane highway, with

42:08

little white dash, or the white lines

42:10

on the sides, and then the yellow

42:12

dash is in the middle, and they had the little reflectors

42:15

or whatever, you wanna call them in the middle,

42:17

of those little yellow dashes.

42:21

We were in

42:24

between Eldred and the Ferry, and

42:29

the light post only lit up where they had

42:31

roads connect, so there was

42:33

only light post on roads

42:35

that would cross section or tee off,

42:37

going in either left or right,

42:40

and those could be ever been two

42:42

miles, five miles apart from each other. And

42:46

there was a couple little odd businesses here

42:48

and there, but most of it was all fields.

42:52

There was like little tree lines here and there, and you're

42:54

like little culverts or little

42:56

like freaks or whatever you wanna call

42:58

them. But that was about

43:00

it for any like tree lines until you got

43:03

closer to the river, and that's where the woods would be.

43:07

So most of it all was basically just

43:10

fields of corn and soy.

43:13

But me and my buddy were,

43:15

he was driving, we were in

43:17

between the Ferry and Eldred

43:20

and Greene County. So

43:24

we were somewhere in between, and this was like

43:26

June 10th, so it's summer.

43:28

So we had the windows up, AC on,

43:30

music going,

43:32

the know whatnot that kids

43:34

do. So

43:36

about the halfway

43:39

point between the Ferry and Eldred, I

43:44

see, it looks like off

43:46

in the distance, hyenas,

43:50

jacked up steroid like hyenas.

43:54

And I've seen it, I'm like, hey,

43:57

hey bud, can we stop? Buddy

44:00

stopped the car and

44:03

I said, look out my window. And

44:05

he looks out my window. It

44:08

looked like he lost his soul. His

44:11

face went white as a pearl or white as a

44:13

ghost. And

44:19

he goes, what in

44:22

the freaking heck is

44:24

that? I

44:26

said, I don't know. Right

44:29

after I said that, it

44:32

almost seemed like

44:34

they were reading our minds, whatever.

44:38

They all four stopped. Cause

44:43

I didn't know how many of them were when I

44:45

seen them. But when

44:47

they stopped, I saw there was four

44:49

of them. And they all stood up on

44:52

their hind legs. I

44:55

didn't get a real good look at them cause it was

44:58

dark and they were often a good ways away

45:00

from the road. But

45:03

from what I could see, they

45:05

had like the

45:08

classic dog face or

45:12

wolf looking face with

45:14

Doberman pincher ears on

45:17

the top of their heads. Two

45:20

of them were like ever bit of, I'm

45:23

guessing here. And

45:29

eight, nine feet tall, I'm guessing. And

45:35

then the second group

45:37

were probably five,

45:42

six foot tall. And

45:46

I couldn't really tell.

45:50

I just know that they were massive.

45:54

And as soon as they stopped and

45:56

stood up, my

45:59

buddy, just

46:02

flips it into drive and hits the gas

46:04

pedal. It went pedal to

46:07

the metal. We were gone. We

46:10

were about, I would say, because

46:13

where we stopped was underneath like a street light

46:16

because there was like a row that went off to our right

46:20

on the driver's side.

46:22

So after

46:25

we saw them stand up and before

46:28

they had those things

46:30

from a distance, had

46:34

a chance to react or

46:36

come towards the vehicle,

46:38

we were already gunning it.

46:40

And then I think, I don't know if it's like,

46:42

was the pack leader or

46:45

the leader of the hunt or whatever

46:47

you want to call the thing.

46:50

After we were about,

46:52

I would say 150 yards away from

46:56

give or take, I'm guessing, away from

46:58

this light pole. This

47:01

thing darts up and

47:03

stands under, like stands

47:07

underneath the light pole, watching us

47:09

leave. I

47:15

don't know if it was making sure we didn't turn around

47:17

and come back, making sure we were gone.

47:21

I'm not sure, but

47:24

when it got underneath the light, I

47:27

could see it had like

47:29

the dog, the classic dog legs. And

47:34

then it had like a, looked like a tail

47:36

or whatnot, tucked

47:39

up and underneath like where it'd be

47:41

hind and general tail it would be.

47:45

And it was black. I

47:48

don't know what the other color of the other

47:50

three in the pack were or whatever

47:55

they were doing. I

47:57

don't know. They were

47:59

probably, probably hunting deer because I seen deer

48:01

before I seen them.

48:03

So they were probably hunting.

48:07

But it,

48:08

it was black.

48:10

It kind of had like matted

48:13

fur,

48:14

like on its arms and it had like the

48:17

classic

48:17

raccoon

48:19

hands with the long nails.

48:23

And it looked like black daggers. Like

48:27

dog legs had the upper

48:30

body of like a bodybuilder

48:33

on steroids.

48:36

Its eyes were like kind of like

48:38

a goldish color.

48:42

But that's about

48:44

all I can remember for detail

48:47

wise from seeing this thing.

48:51

Because my buddy refused

48:53

to stay around and find out, which

48:57

I don't blame him. But

49:00

when me and him got

49:02

to his house, I tried

49:05

talking to him about it. And he refused

49:07

to talk about it. He's

49:09

like, it was just a figment of our imagination.

49:12

He was just

49:13

making every excuse in every way

49:16

of dismissing it. Because

49:18

he didn't want to talk, which

49:20

I quit crying.

49:23

So this was right after my third

49:25

encounter. And

49:27

my third encounter happened June

49:31

10th of 2015.

49:36

But this was June 20th.

49:41

My buddy's girlfriend,

49:44

her daughter was sick and we needed

49:46

to go to the hospital

49:49

and get her checked out and everything. But

49:52

my buddy had to work that next day.

49:55

But she didn't like driving alone, especially

49:57

at night with a kid. I

50:00

volunteered to go because I had to stop

50:03

by my house in Jerseyville anyway and

50:05

get some, I think, clothes

50:08

because I was going to do something

50:11

or help them do something that day. I don't

50:13

remember what. So

50:17

she was driving. I was in the passenger

50:19

seat. And then she had

50:22

her daughter and the

50:24

car seat behind the

50:26

driver's seat. It

50:29

was the little red car,

50:31

little Chevrolet car with

50:33

four doors and so on. Same

50:36

car from third encounter.

50:41

So we're probably

50:43

at the, I would guess

50:45

the halfway mark between Hardin

50:48

and Campsville. This

50:51

road was not as

50:53

well lit. So

50:57

the only light you really had was the

51:00

occasional house and that vary

51:03

from two miles, five miles, 10

51:05

miles apart from each other. So

51:08

you didn't really have the light from the

51:10

houses to light up the road on some of these parts,

51:13

except for the headlights of your car.

51:16

And it happened to be on one of those stretches

51:19

where it had like the incline,

51:21

the had the guardrail

51:24

on the riverside. And

51:27

then I had like a rocky thing. We

51:31

were driving. I had my window cracked because I was smoking

51:33

a cigarette. I

51:36

didn't notice at first

51:40

the silence.

51:42

You know, cause me and her were talking and

51:44

the baby was asleep. So me

51:47

and her were talking. And then

51:50

as we were coming up

51:53

the road, there

51:55

was a house coming up about,

51:58

I would say, good

52:01

mile two miles up

52:04

from where we were and

52:06

they had a street light on their driveway but

52:10

there was still like a good you

52:12

know 90 degree incline or

52:16

so going down towards the river as

52:19

we're coming up to this house

52:22

we see look like four

52:25

shadows of like

52:27

these giant bodybuilding

52:31

builders like

52:33

standing in the road she thought

52:36

they were people at first but

52:39

as we got closer I would

52:42

say the front end of the car

52:44

from these things when we stopped

52:47

was ever bit

52:49

of 10 feet

52:52

away from them so the front of the car was 10

52:56

feet away from these things and these

52:58

things were like standing kind

53:00

of in a line facing towards

53:02

where we're coming from like

53:05

they already knew we were coming and

53:09

that's when I got the smell

53:11

of rock and it's

53:13

coming through the you know the AC vents

53:15

like when you go over a dead skunk

53:18

it's coming through the AC vents it was coming

53:20

through the cracked window she

53:25

turned white as a ghost

53:30

and I was trying to stay calm

53:32

because I just had a I

53:34

don't know I just I really

53:38

decided to be like

53:40

I don't know I was with having her

53:42

and then the kid the baby in the car

53:45

I just instinctively

53:47

figured one of us needs to be calm

53:49

in this situation

53:52

even though I was terrified beyond

53:54

all reason

53:57

but they

53:59

all were standing in like

54:03

a perfect line crossing this

54:05

road facing

54:07

towards us. They

54:09

had the wolf, like

54:13

a timber wolf face, and

54:16

then had like the ears of dovermen,

54:19

pinchers on top

54:21

of their heads. One

54:24

was 10 foot, 11

54:27

foot tall,

54:30

then the next one was

54:32

slightly smaller and build,

54:34

like it looked like kind of like a female

54:36

build. And

54:38

it, she, this

54:41

would be the second biggest one, sat about

54:43

a little

54:46

bit shorter than the first one. I would say

54:50

maybe nine foot tall, eight foot

54:52

tall. It could have been bigger,

54:55

it could have been smaller. I don't

54:58

know. And then they had

55:01

two smaller ones that were about six.

55:07

I would say they were more like seven foot tall

55:11

and they were pretty big, like an

55:13

actual male bodybuilder big.

55:16

The two smaller ones,

55:18

they were kind of like a

55:21

brownish black color. They

55:25

weren't as like matted as the

55:27

two bigger ones, with

55:29

like the cake dried blood and

55:32

stuff on their fur and their

55:34

teeth were more white,

55:36

like pearly white.

55:39

And they had the same wolf

55:43

dog-like face with

55:47

the dovermen pincher ears. They had their,

55:50

it looked like their tails tucked up

55:53

and underneath covering like their genitalia,

55:55

but they weren't like they

56:01

were kind of like, they

56:03

looked like a normal like dog tail

56:05

that you would like see on like a wired

56:08

hair terrier or just by this poof of it.

56:12

Of

56:15

the tail, and then they had like, you

56:18

know, the classic dog

56:20

or cat like legs on the bottom half.

56:25

And then they had like, they

56:28

look more like you're like you would think like your classical werewolves

56:32

like from Skyrim or Bellhousen.

56:35

Based on size and appearance. And

56:39

then

56:41

the bigger ones looked

56:44

the net though. I

56:47

think it was a female. I am not 100%

56:49

sure because as

56:53

a

56:54

nature lover there's a

56:56

lot of species where the females tend

56:58

to be smaller than the males or whatnot. But

57:04

it looked like it had more of a like feminine

57:08

animal size,

57:12

because it wasn't like as

57:16

big as the male. I

57:19

would say it was like about half

57:21

the size of the big male.

57:26

And it's, it had a big

57:28

kind of black bushy tail.

57:31

And they had like the matted

57:34

blood cake to it's like

57:36

forearms and they all had

57:39

raccoon hands with dagger

57:42

long. I would say

57:44

they were probably seven,

57:47

eight inches long, the claws. And

57:51

then the fingers were, you

57:53

know, looked like giant raccoon

57:55

hands. Like

58:00

I said, it had more of like a feminine

58:03

body build, you know,

58:05

like the female body builder look, just

58:08

kind of a little bit bigger than

58:11

your average female body

58:14

builders. And the arms

58:17

on these things could reach out and literally

58:20

like, at least on the bigger ones, if

58:22

they wanted to grab the car, they could, because

58:24

they had long enough arms to grab the

58:27

front bumper. And

58:30

pull the front bumper of this car

58:32

and hold the car. And

58:35

the little ones I would say probably had

58:37

half the arm length. And

58:40

then the bigger one, it was

58:44

a male because

58:48

it was not afraid to show off its

58:50

genitalia.

58:52

I'm not going to go into details,

58:56

but it was massive.

58:58

As well as it

59:00

being massive in general, body-wise.

59:06

And the bigger ones had more of like a darker

59:08

black with the matted

59:11

blood and visceral

59:14

on its face and

59:16

their arms and

59:18

hands.

59:20

I would say it was about a minute, minute

59:22

or two,

59:25

before I looked,

59:27

I didn't take my eyes off of it, but I

59:29

said to my friend, we

59:31

need to reverse and get out of here. But it felt

59:33

like an eternity.

59:36

She starts crying hysterically,

59:41

freaking out.

59:43

I'm like

59:45

trying to be calm

59:48

because now the baby's starting to wake up

59:52

because of the sound and her mom freaking out.

59:56

And I'm telling her, breathe, let's go.

1:00:00

Let's get out of here. We'll figure it out. Let's

1:00:03

go back to Kansasville and we'll just take

1:00:05

a long way to Jerseyville, to

1:00:07

the Jerseyville Hospital. She

1:00:11

puts in a reverse. She's still crying

1:00:13

hysterically, but

1:00:17

she's managing to like not, she's

1:00:20

like wiping her face and was reversing

1:00:23

and I was trying to help

1:00:24

guide her back so we weren't, we

1:00:27

didn't go off the road. We

1:00:29

managed to get to like a little turnabout

1:00:32

that's on the

1:00:34

left hand side. There was like a little turn,

1:00:38

little gravel like turnabout

1:00:40

or parking spot for like eagle watchers

1:00:42

or whatever.

1:00:44

We managed to get there and turn around and

1:00:47

start heading back towards campsville. As

1:00:50

soon as we started going towards campsville,

1:00:54

they got on all fours

1:00:57

and started like

1:00:59

escorting us out of there,

1:01:02

kind of like you would with if

1:01:05

you were on your way to the hospital and you couldn't

1:01:07

wait for an ambulance and your wife

1:01:09

was pregnant. They

1:01:11

were kind of giving us like a police escort out

1:01:13

of there. Like there was something else there that

1:01:15

they didn't want us involved in or

1:01:18

whatnot. So

1:01:21

they followed us forever bit of

1:01:23

a mile or

1:01:26

two. They never

1:01:28

came out to the side of the car,

1:01:31

nothing like that.

1:01:33

She is finally calmed down enough

1:01:36

to where she's not crying so hysterically

1:01:40

and the baby is waking up

1:01:42

and the baby is kind of crying.

1:01:47

I'm still trying to hold it together at

1:01:50

this point.

1:01:52

I'm trying to calm the baby

1:01:54

down now because she needs to

1:01:57

focus on the road. Okay,

1:02:01

you know, before we get on the

1:02:03

ferry, let's stop us

1:02:05

collect ourselves and talk.

1:02:07

We have to talk about it. We'll talk about it. If not,

1:02:10

so be it.

1:02:12

So we managed to get back

1:02:15

into Cantsville.

1:02:18

We pulled off into like where there used

1:02:20

to be a bar. There's now a,

1:02:23

there used to be a bar there when this

1:02:25

encounter happened, but there's not no more. It's

1:02:27

just a little flat park

1:02:30

area. And then there's, yeah. So

1:02:33

we pulled off into there

1:02:36

and I finally let out all of

1:02:38

my pent out

1:02:40

emotions. I started crying hysterically.

1:02:44

I've never cried that hard. And the

1:02:47

only time I have was when my, one

1:02:50

of my grandparents who I was close to

1:02:52

passed away. And that was four

1:02:55

or five years ago

1:02:57

before this incident. So I hadn't

1:02:59

cried that hard until that

1:03:02

night.

1:03:04

So we did

1:03:06

finally get to compose ourselves. We

1:03:09

went to, did our, what we needed to

1:03:11

go do. Ended

1:03:12

up, she had a real bad

1:03:15

flu, her daughter.

1:03:17

And

1:03:18

we got back and

1:03:20

we never talked about it.

1:03:23

Except for when we were stopped before we got

1:03:25

on the ferry to go finish what we actually

1:03:28

originally set out to do. Never

1:03:30

was brought afterwards.

1:03:49

Yeah. you
