Episode 135. February 15, 2023. Legendary retired NYPD Detective Francesco "Frank" Serpico is the first police officer in American history to expose widespread systemic corruption in a police department. In 1972 Frank was awarded the NYPD's highest award for bravery, the Medal of Honor.  Frank discusses with Doug Poppa the night of February 3, 1971, when he was shot in the face during an undercover narcotics operation in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, and the distortion of the facts that have been written about this tragic event in his life.
