Maybe Stone Barrington and his friends need to be retired. This book offered very little in the way of a plot line . The books that included Teddie Fay were interesting and entertaining.Stone Cold!Like dead fish, Stone gets more foul with age. Eating, drinking and f...king his way through "high" society, this is a story only a liberal democrat wannabe could love. The story is so formulaic it's almost laughable. Mr Woods must need to fill up his Cessna, if this book was an ILS, Stuart would be waved off. The only thing worse than this being #42, is that I read the last 5. NUTS! DONE and DONE...bye bye Stone. No plot, boring story.Struggled to pay attention to this one. I love Stuart Woods and the character Stone Barrington but this book was a waste of time and credit. No action, nothing about this book grabs your attention. All the regular characters and a couple new ones. I hope this one is leading us to future action stories with Stone or it might be time to put this series to bed.always awesomeI always enjoy these stories and find humor in the ties to reality... always awesomeWhat?I have read all of the Stone Barrington series. Granted, they are not great works of literary fiction, but I have always found them highly entertaining. Until....this one. I am over halfway through the story, and literally nothing has happened! I keep thinking it must be leading up to some sort of plot development, but nada! Cant stand the monotony any longer, going to return the book.Contact me for any questions: [email protected]
