On today’s podcast, we have a very interesting guest! Her name is Doris Lance. She’s in her 70's and has a real passion for living life to the fullest and making a difference in people’s lives.
In addition to being an instructor at Cuesta College’s Emeritus Program in California, Doris is an avid hiker and wildflower photographer. She has logged thousands of miles, and trekked from below sea level in Death Valley to over 11,000 feet in Patagonia, Chile to capture flowering treasures in their natural environment and now she’s published an inspirational Journal called Botanical Reflections.
The purpose of the journal is to help your days be more enjoyable -- for you to explore feelings, reduce anxiety, and reconcile emotional conflicts as you use the book to answer a daily question, read an inspiring quote, and express your creativity.
One of the obstacles that Doris had to overcome was other people’s opinions that her passion project was not valuable. She also overcame a very serious illness. She’s an amazing woman and I think you will be really inspired by her energy and enthusiasm.
I share Doris’s appreciation of the benefits of walking in nature, journaling and taking care of our health. It’s always so fun to share ideas with like-minded ladies.
Doris and I hope our conversation will inspire you to take your health and vitality to the next level, pursue your passions and make a difference.
