I am a huge sucker for the old west (huge Deadwood fan) and this podcast fills such a great role in my learning more about this time period. The way each episode is presented is great, and I am eating up the episodes. If you at all enjoy stories from the old west this is for you. Very much worth your time for sure.
Drift and Ramble is a podcast with an Audio Drama take on true historical stories of the Wild West. From stories of amazing adventures, dirty deals, Gangs, and rags to riches stories of gunslingers and so much more. Steve Blizin has a way of mixing in the narration of these Wild West stories while tossing in some audio drama elements. The thing that truly sets this show apart is the way Steve starts at the earliest known encounters and back stories to some of the meanest and most feared gunslingers of the day and tells us the lore and the truth as he progresses through their life. But don’t expect to just hear about gunslingers there were lots of famous locations and lore even back then like the folklore from First Nations People and even the background on American Whiskey.
even though it's not sort of the thing I would listen to i really like that it aims to educate it's audience on historical things and I have heard a few cool pieces of music on there to :)
Love the stories of the old west I have never heard of. You can tell this is a labor of love on the host's part.
