Among other things, Dalio values “hyper realism” (being very clear about the way things really are) teamed with “hyper transparency” with one another, which leads to rapid growth. Employees at his hedge fund, Bridgewater, are excited about finding their own weaknesses so that they can better get what they are aiming for by either adjusting for their weaknesses or by turning those weaknesses into strengths.
