 In today’s episode, I interviewed Marc Baillavoine - Founder and CEO of Quortex, where he is working towards building AI based, self adapted, auto scalable content delivery platforms. Marc graduated as an Engineer from ISEP and started his career as a Video Quality engineer and then focused on growing the R&D team at ATEME. Marc holds 20 patents in the video encoding area.

He  has been responsible for transforming his company from a hardware provider to a fully software-based, virtualized vendor, orchestrating the sales and R&D teams, and contributed to the company IPO.

Marc founded Quortex in 2018, convinced that the business changes in Live TV have to be sustained by a major technological shift that, he believes, the historical actors are unlikely to achieve.

In today’s episode, Marc and I discuss how we can decrease the cost for OTT and always put the priority on the user. He also talks about a theoretical world where The Headend could merge with the CDN.
