Brent was raised in a tiny Indiana farming town, population 500. At age 17, he enrolled at Indiana University not really sure what he wanted to do in life…but his parents wanted him to pursue a career in law. To pay his way through college, he got a job at a local newspaper. Brent was constantly told by people to do radio including his boss who even told him about a job vacancy for a presenter on Indianapolis rock radio station, WTTS. He auditioned, and somehow had a weekend shift on air within two weeks. Eventually, Brent worked his way to Los Angeles and realized his dream – to do an afternoon drive show in LA…he talked to millions on 104.3 KBIG FM…and couldn’t believe he’d made it. In 2008, when Richard Branson launched Virgin Radio Dubai, a worldwide search for the right presenter led to Brent, who was holed up in LA, looking for adventure.  Two days later Brent was on a plane to Dubai to start work at Virgin. Brent soothes his sexy voice with late night visits to Pinkberry and sometimes double dates with Kris Fade. The concept with Dubai Wave is to look at big picture Dubai. Previously, Dr. Striker, with help from talented Digital Media and MBRSC students, launched a successful podcast called Digital Media & Tech in Dubai, focused on the Dubai tech industry, with eight episodes to date, featuring some of Dubai’s most exciting digital thought leaders.
