Since the scientific revolution the pace of scientific advance has only accelerated. Changes are going on in our understanding of the world, and of ourselves at a truly awesome pace. But along with the great advances we also have a rapidly increasing human population putting an ever increasing stress on our planetary life support system. This last lecture of the Big Story drives home the pace of these changes.
