Echo has some excellent sound design and a beautiful message behind the story. The two main characters are very lovable and the story is easy to binge. I went into this thinking it would be horror but it really isn't and I loved that a lot.

If you were to mash up the dreamy timeless allegorical journeys of Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist with Guillermo Del Toro’s love of outcast monsters, you’d probably get something like this audio drama. Because it’s a friendship that begins from a place of great kindness, it’s one of the most touching relationships I’ve had the pleasure to listen to. And few scenes have had me rooting so strongly for the characters to succeed as the in episode 5. It’s not perfect. There’s some missed opportunities to expand on the new mythology that’s been created and the ending sags as the convenient coincidences start to pile up. But I think this show is unique in an increasingly crowded-samey field.
