Integrating technology into the social studies classroom is the topic of conversation for this session with high school social studies teachers Racquel Solorzano-Deuñas and Ray Solorzano. Raquel shares how she uses Snachpat with her students. Ray discusses how Raspberry Pi is integrated into his economic course. We also discuss advice for others who are interested in integrating technology into the classrooms with their students.

Bios: Ray is a 12th grade Social Studies teacher and Educational Technology Coach at Savanna High School in Anaheim California. Ray uses technology to engage and inspire his students to see themselves beyond the traditional classroom. He has worked at both the district and site level to to help teachers implement educational technology into their curriculum.

Raquel is a teacher of 13 years (Social Science). She is a Lesson Design Coach, APEX (Credit Recovery) Coordinator, AUHSD Induction Mentor Coach (formerly BTSA Support Provider), and the 2017 Orange County Teacher of the Year.

Ray and Raquel are 2015 graduates of the MS in Educational Technology Program at CSUF.
