Dirk falls down a hole and comes face to face with a purple people eater, Amanda and Vogle show up in Wendimor and end up captured in a cell with two new friends, Tina and Farah investigate Suzie's murder of the local bookclub, whilst Suzie has a run-in with The Mage and is given a nefarious task to fulfil.
