The Banshee's description varies widely depending on the Story Teller. Sometimes, she is an old woman with a black veil, a young red haired woman in a shroud, or even a headless woman naked from the waist up carrying a bowl of blood. All, however, agree that she is death's messenger, a solitary creature living without community who will never marry, take friendship, or give out any favors, except to simply warn that the last words are at hand.
