Right now so many of us are striving to improve ourselves and our lives. The world is rife with people who are no longer prepared to settle for what they have and want to take control of their future and their results.

Whilst on our pursuit to do this we can so easily fall for small mistakes that lead us the wrong way, in this episode I talk about one of those small mistakes.

The error that a lot of us make is that we spend time learning from people who have already succeeded.

"WOW!" I hear you say.

Yes I know, an effective way to improve is to model those who have already achieved what we want, but just hear me out.

You Only Hear The Fluff

When we listen to someone who has succeeded being interviewed we want to absorb everything about them, to know what they think, what they eat, how much sleep they get, what they read and so on, but in doing this we take on many rules that are not actually that important.

We listen to their motivational speech but it is not usually giving us the actual information we need that will help change our current situation. Just snippets of their best self and advice that a lot of the time they do not follow.

This is not everyone by the way, just most.

A lot of the times the star will tell us what they think helped them succeed or whatever their speech writer/publicist wants them to say so we are only getting half truths.

Very often the achiever hasn't really got a clue how they have made the big time, they are as surprised as everyone else is that 'little old me' made it yet they preach the path to walk as they see it.

In the past you may have fallen for this, you know you have when you copy what the 'winners' advise yet you still make very little progress. 

Instead Learn From Those Who Are Struggling (at least give this a go)

In this Vlog I urge you to turn your attention and learn from the people who are losing right now, even if that is yourself.

In doing so you will learn what not to do, you will see the reasons for the lack of progress and you will get to the core truth of why things are not happening.
