“Twenty years in Gotham, how many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?” We couldn’t have predicted it at the time, but Zack Snyder managed to make a film even more divisive than his 2013 Man of Steel with the follow-up, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which serves the dual purpose of being a sequel to Man of Steel while introducing elements for a DC comics shared cinematic universe, including Batman and Wonder Woman. The critics have lambasted it, but its box office is still doing well and the audience seems to be reacting much more positively. In this full episode review, Nick and Justin dissect Batman v Superman to its very core to get to the heart of its characters and its story. We’ll take a look at the criticisms swirling around the film and address them as necessary, as well as offering our own.
