Epidemic Belfast is a research-driven public history and medical humanities initiative from Ulster University It seeks to map the changing experience of infection and disease for individuals and communities in a unique urban environment - Belfast from the nineteenth century to the present day. It sets out to develop and improve understandings of Northern Ireland’s medical past and heritage focusing initially on the impacts, experiences and management of contagious disease.
