A seasoned strategic communicator, storyteller and public speaker, Meg has significant experience in executing major public events in both the U.S. and Europe. Bringing a distinct perspective and real-world insights to corporate and non-profit organizations alike, she draws on nearly 15 years of management and mentorship within the public relations industry – a field dramatically impacted by a changing media landscape and a changing workforce.
Most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Brian Communications, a strategic communications firm based in Philadelphia, her work as a public relations professional reflects a unique breadth and depth. From high profile bankruptcy and labor negotiations to comprehensive marketing audits for national associations and institutions of higher education to media engagement for clients in tourism, healthcare, philanthropy and real estate, Meg has strong expertise in high impact and high-pressure projects. And that doesn’t even touch on her role as the co-lead of strategic communications for the 2015 World Meeting of Families (WMOF) and the visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia in 2014-2015.
Although this intensive 14-month role focused on communications and media relations, Meg’s WMOF work also supported comprehensive event logistics, transportation, security and corporate sponsorship for the 6-day international event. For these efforts, which included the coordination of 41 press conferences and 5,000 members of the international media for the Papal Visit, Brian Communications was awarded the PRSA Silver Anvil National Award of Excellence in June 2016. Meg was also awarded the Benemerenti Medal by Pope Francis in November 2016.
Now an independent consultant, Meg is a member of the La Salle University (Philadelphia, PA) Board of Trustees where she serves as the Co-Chair of Institutional Strategy as well as on Board’s Executive and Advancement Committees. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for La Salle Academy, an independent Catholic school, which is a shared work between the Sisters of Saint Joseph and the Brothers of the Christian Schools. She holds a B.A. from La Salle University (2003) and an M.A. in Strategic Communication, Crisis Communication and Political Rhetoric from the University of Maryland (2005).
