An overview of the immense suffering induced by industrialized agriculture including inhumane living conditions, cruelty, environmental impact, early death sentences, antibiotic resistance, separation of mothers and babies, and the breakdown of the natural lives and meaning-creating relationships of animals. How an expansion of the legal definition of genocide to focus on the reasonably foreseeable outcome of human actions and the resulting experience for subjugated groups including nonhuman beings can offer animals much-needed protection and help dismantle the factory farming system.
