RATING
Jess and Johnathan are incredibly funny as they read ridiculous reviews from all over the internet. If you've ever read a review and thought "what is wrong with people" then you'll probably enjoy this podcast!
If you like reading reviews (And you must, because here you are.) Everyone's a Critic is the podcast for you. Did you know people review mountains? What is a meat-za and how should we feel about the fact that it exists? Is this communion wine squeeze bottle the right choice to fill up MY motorcycle? Jess and Jonathan dig up reviews on juuuust about anything and answer these questions and more. Even if reviews aren't always your thing, the energy and chemistry the co-hosts bring to the table will leave you coming back for more.
I started an account just so I could leave a review here and tell people that this podcast is one of my all-time favorites. I never get tired of hearing these two's exasperated reactions to the silly reviews people leave on and for random products and places. I love Jess's enthusiastic chaotic energy, and Johnathan is hilarious when they commit to a bit.If you want some fun easy listening and you like coming across funny reviews online, this podcast is totally for you.
Have listened to and loved this podcast for a while now. The comedic chemistry between the hosts is fantastic and their listener interaction is second to none. Would give 6 stars if I could.
Hero's don't wear capes, but sometimes podcasts do. The premise of Everyone's A Critic is simple: crowd-sourced review platforms are weird and sometimes you just have to bathe in the weird. The partner duo has perfect chemistry as they bounce off each other from gag to gag in the only way people who have been together for over a decade can. Their goal is to bring a little levity to the world while poking at its corners and holes. Listen to Everyone's a Critic for everything from restaurant reviews, reviews for literal actual mountains (yes people do that), to my favorite segment where Jess submits Johnny to weird online quizzes to learn just a bit more about what makes them tick. Catch ya next Wednesday!
THIS POCAST HAS GREAT FEATURES
I guess I'm up first this week!As a person who likes to read product reviews online and especially enjoys finding ridiculous and funny ones in the process, Everyone's A Critic is the perfect podcast for me. The hosts Jess and Jonathan are a delightful pair to listen to as they feed off each others content with a beautiful synergy and side-splitting comedic vigour.Jess's quick wit and spicy comebacks for the words of reviewers and her partner are unmatched and always catch me off guard with howling laughter.Even while expressing the experience of an existential crisis, Jonathan manages to make me laugh my ass off, because of the flawless comedic energy they bring to the table. But I do hope they feel better with each day that comes. From chain restaurants, Amazon products and special attractions to odd recipes, Australian coffee shops and even craft beer, this pair cover it all and bring to us; the listeners, in a variety of creative formats. Some old, some new, and some that ostensibly die after their first use. Either way, it's a fun ride, especially with the cute little jingles they come up with. The "Let's Talk About Slacks" one lives in head rent-free.You both have succeeded in bringing a little levity to whatever the hell is going on in my life. Your fucking bop of an intro gets me pumped every time. And it's no wonder that my Spotify Unwrapped pointed out you were my top podcast to listen to in 2021. 61 episodes definitely wasn't enough and I can't wait to dive deeper into your back catalogue. I'm only just getting started!Thank you for all you do for this wonderful project you have decided to share with the world, and I can't wait to listen to more. Much love from across the pond. Hit me up for any British English pronunciations (although I may get some wrong too, I ain't perfect).Keep up the good work and stay safe <3PS: Was this wordy enough for you? 😂
