In this episode, we discuss parent/child relationships in ‘ER’, specifically the relationships that some of the doctors and nurses had with their parents, and with their children. How did the ways in which the characters were raised influence their own parenting later on?

Some of the relationships we talk about include Mark and Rachel (and his parents), Doug and his absent father, Abby and her bipolar mother, Elizabeth and her divorced high-achieving parents, Carter and his wealthy family, and Benton and Reese (and his own mother).
