How can you claim your own space and confidently live in your own shoes if you don't know who you are? As a child my white-washed Christian background sequestered me from learning Navajo tradition. Now as an adult it took just a little bit of motivation and curiosity to rediscover Navajo and my roots. So I can confidently stand on my own two feet with identity and claim my Indigenous space.
