On this episode I chat with Brittany about everything from being a teacher, to self-publishing her own book, Bloom and so many things in between. I loved that her spirituality is woven into her core and oozes out in her everyday conversation. Brittany Travesté Epps is a self-published writer, poet and cultivator of black girl magic. She credits her mother for nurturing her love for literature. From a young age, Brittany sought to share her most intimate thoughts through written word. Affectionately known as "Ms. Epps" by her students, she is a seasoned English teacher in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Her lessons focus on self-expression through writing as a means of self-care. Brittany earned her B.A. in Journalism from Howard University where she began to flourish as a published writer.
