The Anxiety and Depression Association of America reports that depression or Major Depressive Disorder is the leading cause of disability for people between the ages of 15 &44. "In 2015 around 16.1 million adults aged 18 or older in the US had experienced at least one major depressive episode in the last year-". We've heard about post-partum but it's probably safe to say that this number has to represent a number of pregnant women. Despite societal expectations, pregnancy doesn't eradicate depression. It's not like your depression is absolved because you're pregnant now. So let's talk about it!
