DeAnn Hurtado is a professor of management and marketing in the Business and Public Services (BPS) division of Sinclair. As a professor, DeAnn was awarded the prestigious National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) award, and was selected to lead several student study-abroad trips to Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and Panama. She served as a chairperson for the Marketing/Management department for several years and also represented the division in the dean’s office as the Assistant Dean of BPS, working with faculty to provide classroom and professional development support for the division. Her latest administrative position led her to Mason, to serve as Sinclair’s associate dean, leading the Mason campus and working with community leaders and businesses to align educational offerings to local industry needs.
