I was searching for a podcast about menopause when I stumbled across this gem of a podcast. The first episode I listened to was Kamilah, the Host, talking to her mom about their menstrual experiences. The content was interesting to hear but it really was the genuine, raw and vulnerable way that they discussed these private matters that drew me in. I grew up in a time and place where these matters were not discussed openly and I wish that secretive environment on no one.
I have since listened to a few more episodes and that tone, that gentle but honest vibe, has carried over into these episodes too. There are simply not enough podcasts about our delicate and complicated reproductive system. Wait, why I am getting so formal. Ugh. Look, our private parts, ladies- they need to be more public. And men, you need to get over how complicated our bits are. So this podcast is for anyone who has women in their lives. Which, lol, we all know, if you, you, and you.
The more we talk about the myriad of crazy s*** that happens down there, the less shame can be tossed our way and the more comfortable we can all be with ourselves and our vagina carrying loved ones.
