Popular Reviews of Female Criminals

I find the focus on gender really toxic and backwards in this podcast. The college admissions episode seems poorly researched and based purely on speculation "maybe she felt this, maybe she felt that". I also find it strange that the focus is on the Lori Loughlin in that episode because the main perpetrator was actually a man and the crime wouldn't have happened if the man who organised the crime didn't approach her and offer her the opportunity. If anything she's more like an accomplice than a criminal. It just seems to propel the patriarchal trend of men getting away with Crimes and women getting blamed for them. It also seems to be very melodramatic "it ruined her life!"... Probably not, she's still rich, I bet she's fine.

Poorly researched, especially in regards to the psychological angle. The podcasts tries to prove diagnosis for its subjects without ever having talked to them - not that it would matter since the hosts are not actually therapists. And to be honest, I was truly a horrified by the Lizzie Borden episode, simply because it treated Lizzie’s guilt as a matter of fact, not once acknowledging that the case wasn’t as black and white as one might think.
