OWN, The Oprah Winfrey Network introduces a series of new holiday movies as part of its “OWN for the Holidays” event, beginning December 2, 2023 with the heartwarming romantic comedy A Christmas Serenade starring Skye Townsend and B.J. Britt. The film tells the story of Jeremiah who returns home for the first time in years and takes over as minister of music for his church’s annual Christmas Jubilee. Little does he know that this new position will reignite a feud -- and romance -- with the pastor’s daughter Willow. A Christmas Serenade airs at 9pm/8pm CT on OWN.                                

Skye Townsend (the daughter of legendary actor/comedian/filmmaker Robert Townsend) is known for her groundbreaking characters on the three-time Emmy Award-winning HBO comedy series, A Black Lady Sketch Show.  B.J. Britt is often recognized for his long-running role on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC and BET’s Being Mary Jane.
