Horror films are extremely divisive. People tend to either love the horror genre or hate it with every ounce of their being. I love these movies and think that their evolution over the last hundred years, and their impact on cinema is fascinating. In this episode, I give a brief overview of the horror genre, how it started to decline in quality, and how it, like the Prodigal Son, returned home to its roots.
