We will all feel lost. Or alone. Afraid. Angry. And a million other things. There are seasons in life that feel too hard to bear, but the Church hasn't equipped it's disciples to deal with these seasons well. We have spent a long time trying to get over things quickly and forget them for good, instead of learning to carry them with us and be a changed people because of it. This is my attempt to make the hard things, those that knock us down and try to keep us there, normal conversations in our hearts, our homes and our churches. When we talk about life's toughest seasons and bring them out in the open, we subsequently bring healing to our own hearts, our families, our friends and our churches.
We all get slugged through the mud. We won't get over these things, we will instead learn to carry them with us...with strength and courage. It’s messy, it’s hard, and its takes a ton of vulnerability and authenticity. But you aren't alone. We can be honest together.
