No matter who you are, where you live, or what you do...you are made up of approximately 55-60% water. So, why on earth would anyone think that it is a good idea to walk around under hydrated? Hydration effects everything from our ability to perform both physically and mentally to our digestive processes and our metabolism.

In previous episodes we have covered first 5 pillars of health; consuming a nutrient dense diet, healthy digestion, maintenance of healthy blood sugar levels, essential fatty acid consumption, and mineral intake and balance. Hydration is the 6th and final pillar of health and is by no means less important than any of the others. In fact, most people can survive up to 8 weeks without food but only a few days without water.

Malak and Vic discuss the importance of proper hydration, some suggested guidelines for ensuring that you are getting enough water on a daily basis, signs and symptoms of both acute and chronic dehydration, etc.
