Soprano. Poet. Author. Nurse. Mother. Wife. Yes, these words all describe one woman: Miami's Bles-Chavez Bernstein. To say Bles has an incredible life story is truly an understatement. She tells Gerard all about how she immigrated from the Philippines to Florida (and the culture shock she experienced), as well as how her mom helped her rediscover her passion and purpose in the performing arts. And, Bles shares what it was like to finally perform back in her hometown in the Philippines. But, her story doesn't end there. During the pandemic, Bles had lots of time on her hands. So, like most opportunists, she turned lemons into lemonade by starting and completing her first book--an autobiography called "In The Typhoon's Eye."
