Imagine a world full of people walking around with abdominal pain. Any type of pain can change a person’s mood. An angry society is reflective of bad behavior, self-hatred and blame. Hmmmmm…. It is best if there are accessible options to alleviate the effects of societal discomfort.

Pain is the body’s tactic for messaging a human that change is necessary. This change could include eating, drinking, medication use, drug habits, environmental factors, media consumption or repetitive thoughts. The body usually has a subtle approach to communicating. However, if one is not paying attention, it will provide noticeable warning signs for initiating a response. Unfortunately, many are unaware or simply ignore this one-sided dialogue until serious conditions exist. Often, it takes courage to admit something is wrong before a person is willing to seek help.

It’s important to ask several questions of yourself if trying to determine a reason for lower left abdominal pain. Honest answers will help you troubleshoot the problem.

When did the pain start?

Where is the pain?

Is the pain consistent or does it happen at certain times of the day?

Is the pain noticeable before, during or after toilet use?

As a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist, a common complaint from new clients is lower left abdominal pain. Often, imagepeople have an accumulation of fecal matter inside the sigmoid colon. A sigmoid colon is located in the lower left part of an abdominal cavity. It is “U” shaped and terminates at the rectum. At some point this collection of dense waste material becomes too heavy for the sigmoid colon thus creating pain. The excrement is stagnant and dry. It is signaling the body for release by creating sheer agony.

A shared misconception is that a bowel movement once per day equates to the complete discharge of meals ingested within a preceding 24-hour period. Unfortunately, this is not true for many. With more than 20,000 combined internet searches on IBS, constipation and diarrhea, a vast number of people require more than one bowel movement per day to eliminate an average of 3 or more meals plus snacks eaten daily. Even worse, the people searching for solutions have no idea they are potentially withholding stool on a regular basis.

Given that waste retention is a problem, the best solution to remedy lower left abdominal pain is Colonic Irrigation. You may also know this process as a colonic, colon therapy, colonic therapy or colon hydrotherapy. Colonic irrigation is the water hydration of a colon utilizing warm, filtered water. It hydrates stagnant waste, activates a colon’s muscle movement and eliminates troubling excrement from the large bowel. With a series of sessions a colon can begin to retrain it’s muscle movement. This process is safe and gentle. It is also administered with an FDA-approved colonic therapy device. To receive proper education about this process, click here.

My clients have often traveled a tumultuous road prior to finding colonic irrigation.  Each of them had to choose whether to continue living in pain or taking a chance to try something different in exchange for better results. In the end, many report feeling goooooood inside. It takes a strong desire to relieve the misery of pain for overcoming a fear of cleansing through the gut. However, once a person engages in the process, they wonder what took them so long to choose comfort over pain.
