It all started innocently enough when Jill’s sister asked for some of Jill’s pottery pieces for a silent auction. The custom designed pottery with designs of trout and flies quickly took off. We talk to Jill today about her artwork and how she crafts her designs which are useful and functional. Meet Jill Holland, owner and potter of Twinkle Tree Pottery.

Growing up in Little Rock, Arkansas, one of my favorite memories was doing ceramics with my Mom, other family members and neighbors, around our kitchen table.
During my college years, I had the privilege of spending a year in Japan as an exchange student, where my interest in pottery was reignited.
Fast forward about 30 years when my sweet husband gave me a gift certificate for a pottery lesson to learn how to throw on the wheel. From then on, I was hooked! For the next ten years, I’ve continued to learn, practice, and create. Today, I can most often be found in my studio in the basement of our home, doing what I love to do.
Nowadays, my husband of 37 years and I enjoy our home on five acres in Castle Rock, Colorado, with a gorgeous view of the Rocky Mountains from our back deck (and from my studio). We are empty-nesters who enjoy working on DIY projects together, and singing in our church choir. We have two sons and daughters-in law in Texas and Oklahoma, and 3 of the most incredible grandchildren on the planet!
