Wanda Taylor has led the way for women anglers since the 1980’s. Wanda not only has a wealth of knowledge and experience in practically every area of Fly Fishing, she continues to give back to the community in so many ways by teaching and supporting Women Veterans, Cancer survivors and anglers of all ages and levels of experience. She shared her incredible journey with Fly Girl Fish, including her friendships with Fly Fishing legends Joan Wulff and Lefty Kreh! Bio:
Wanda Taylor has been fishing since she was four years old! Her grandmothers taught her to fish. Her love for fishing increased when she agreed to marry a professional fly guide. Within their partnership she became a fly fishing guide, fly casting instructor, Fly Fish TV hostess, featured in fly fishing video’s, online podcast, Walkers Cay with Flip Pallot, and a published outdoor writer for Fly Fish America and DUN Magazine.

Wanda has been and is a featured speaker at fly clubs, expos, conclaves, and private fly fishing events across the United States and around the world. Her topics range from freshwater to saltwater inshore, near shore and off shore in bluewaters. Her many awards and achievements of “Firsts” are the reason she is known as the “South’s 1st Lady of Fly Fishing”:

2008 – International Federation of Fly Fishers South Eastern Council Award of Excellence for Wanda’s work with “Casting For Recovery” and “Casting For Confidence“.
2005 – Southeastern International Federation of Fly Fishers Woman of the Year.
2002 – Co Founder Casting For Confidence.
1996 – 1st Woman certified by the International Federation of Fly Fishers as a Master Certified Casting Instructor.
1990 – 1st Woman Orvis Endorsed Guide in the Southeastern United States.
