I often forget how much I enjoy the Marvel movies until I'm watching one of them. I've also had a hard time figuring out why they 'work'. In this short essay, Malcolm Nygard does a fantastic job of identifying some of the smart decisions the writers have made that enable the audience to understand and care about the characters and the universe they inhabit.As always with Malcolm, it's astute, entertaining, and well-worth checking out.
