College Football News

Mike Shula, Headcoach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, was fired on November 27th after a 6-6 season and most importantly losing the last three games -- one of which against their state rival -- Auburn! That's a recipe for disaster and losing your job. The son of Hall of Fame coach -- Don Shula -- and fellow alumni of Alabama, Mike Shula simply never impressesd the key people who run the show in Alabama -- they are the athletic director Mal Moore and the university president Robert Witt. Ironically, Mike Shula just received a new six-year contract in May worth $1.55 million per year. Well, it looks like the Crimson Tide will be looking for a prime time college coach during the off-season. Just expect that they will find someone real soon!! Roll Tide! image
