Welcome to another episode of the Football Unknown Podcast. Today, we're thrilled to introduce you to Paula Quintero.
Born in Colombia and raised in the United States, Paula's athletic journey began on the tennis courts but swiftly changed course when she discovered her passion for soccer. Excelling rapidly, she played for her high school and a competitive travel club, catching the eye of scouts. Her skill and dedication led to an incredible opportunity—playing for the Colombian U-20 national team, an experience that expanded her skillset and deepened her love for the game.
After representing Colombia, Paula returned to the U.S. and committed to Florida International University, where she spent four years honing her skills and understanding of soccer. Post-college, Paula's journey continued in the semi-professional circuits before she signed her first professional contract back in her home country of Colombia.
However, Paula’s ambitions transcended the field. Witnessing both the highs and the lows within the female football industry, she was driven to make a change. Pursuing a master's degree from the Football Business Academy, she equipped herself with the knowledge needed to impact the sport more profoundly. Now, as a CEO, Paula is eager to reshape the landscape of female football, advocating for better opportunities and conditions for women and children in the sport.
