Russia has launched a devastating attack on Ukraine, a European democracy of 44 million people, with military forces bombing some cities in the Ukrainian territory. The US, Western allies, and some countries in Asia have imposed sanctions to Putin, Russia and its oligarchs and isolating them from international financial institutions and economic activities etc. I talked to Dr. Kim Beng Phar, a Visiting Fellow to Harvard University and former Director of Political and Security Community at ASEAN on the impacts of this Ukraine-Russia crisis, the responses of major countries to the aggression and how it would move forward in the coming time. One important question explored at the end of our conversation, will ASEAN matter on this crisis? Enjoy!
