Day one. Today and tonight. Thunderstorms: Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible over the interior and east coast metro areas this afternoon. The primary impacts from the thunderstorms will be lightning strikes. Temperatures: Heat index readings will be in the upper 90s to lower 100s over most of South Florida today, except around 105 over the southwestern interior areas of South Florida. Days two through seven. Tuesday through sunday. Maximum afternoon heat index readings of 100 to 105 degrees will continue over most of South Florida through end of the week.
