Jacqui Lambie has always stood out from the mainstream of Australian politicians. Love her or hate her, you can’t deny the woman is heartfelt and unscripted.
Jacqui is no-nonsense because that's what life has always been like for her. A working class girl from Tasmania, Jacqui takes us on her journey through the army, her enforced medical retirement following an horrendous injury, her fight to get adequate treatment from the Department of Veteran Affairs, her descent into depression, struggle to raise two kids as a single mother on welfare, her son’s ice addiction, and the roller coaster ride that is life as a politician.
It doesn't get any more real and raw than this, but somehow Jacqui weaves humour and honesty into her stories of resilience, proving her father right when he told her 'you can’t keep a bloody Lambie down'.
So, what happens when your past drives your future?
