#199 - Collin Powers - Founder and CEO at Ellyra

As a former professional tennis player, Collin Powers is implementing his knowledge of sports into the development of virtual reality tennis training. Having begun his entrepreneurial journey in high school, selling LED Christmas lights to customers in all 50 US states and most of Canada, he has now combined these two passions to revolutionise the world of skills acquisition. After playing professional tennis for six years, Collin went on to study at the University of Edinburgh where he received an honours degree in Business with Enterprise and Innovation. It was at university where he came up with the idea for Ellyra, a virtual reality program that gives tennis players and coaches control over their training while giving them access to analytics that would normally never be seen.

Since starting Ellyra, Collin has taught himself how to program and develop for VR and has now fully developed the Ellyra Tennis MVP. He is also proud to be working very closely with influential people in the tennis industry, who believe the technology will make a tremendous impact on the world of tennis and beyond.
