It’s risky speaking out AGAINST Scientology!Their GOD L. Ron Hubbard instructs them to destroy anyone that does. The members will only listen and obey their god or face consequences themselves. It all began in 1974 for me. I was 7 and my sister 5.My mother was seeking help in life trying to survive and she “found” this cult and began her own indoctrination. We didn’t have a choice and followed her lead. This podcast is a gathering of my memories sparked by photos or documents I’ve had over the years. It’s all about speaking the TRUTH about what happened to me.I was raised by L. Ron Hubbard technically and I hope to join the hundreds (if not thousands) of other people that have escaped.

L. Ron Hubbard Became My Father
Over time I forgot my biological father and put my money (and soul) on the only male figure in my life that gave me guidance: L. Ron Hubbard.  Wait, he was the only one I was allowed to follow for face the consequences. My mother handed over the responsibility of being my parent to this man.  He influenced every decision I ever made.  Even today I have a hard time processing situations.  It takes me a while to mentally prepare before responding.  I still worry about replying to adhere to a policy or make sure my response isn't going to upset people.  I share how this evolution occurred including personal details and specifics.Support the show
Manipulating Children Is Easy
I have no idea what I don't know.  None of us do.  Punishment for a child and adult are the same in Scientology. I explain one of the many methods used to control me, my sister and every member.   How is this OK?  Why is it done?  One thing that has been proven is a child's brain growth follows a specific path as they get age.  If you took a chunk of time out of a child's life (say age 5 until 25) and taught them they were not a child at all but that they were an adult in a small body, kicked them out of their family if they misbehaved, publicly shamed them into conforming, punished them for showing any resistance to the life they were being forced to live including sexual, physical and mental abuse...how would they turn out?  This is how children are "raised" in Scientology.Support the show
A Terrible Decision
I was only 6 or 7 when the cult of Scientology took over my life.  I explain how this happened to me, my little sister and my mom.  I found a handwritten letter my mother wrote that helped fill in the blanks.  We were a happy NORMAL family of 3. Single mom and two little girls.  What happened that would convince my mother to make an awful decision that would end up tearing up our entire family tree and feeding it into a shredder NEVER to be put back together.Support the show
