There is a humanitarian crisis taking place in Nigeria. Peaceful protesters have been shot and killed by the army. Recent videos have circulated online showing protesters being attacked and killed because they are exercising their human rights for freedom and peace. The president, Mahommado Bahuri is accused of giving orders for the army to shoot and kill civilians. Protesters have mentioned a staged power cut took place to prevent protesters mobility. The protesters have also be contained by fires surrounding them, preventing them from escaping. The SARS team have been accused of murdering many young people and raping women for a long time, however it’s only now gaining the media recognition it deserves to highlight this issue. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this deeply saddening issue.
