Frankenstein’s Daughters investigates the intersection of posthumanism and the Victorian Gothic. The podcast explores how the past and future have infected each other across time and space, tracing the lasting influences of Victorian England’s social anxieties on the scientific imagination of today, tomorrow, and the far future. Combining fiction, theory, and scientific discourse, this project intends to fuse academic analysis with immersive storytelling, while drawing upon topics such as embodiment, domesticity, labor, beauty, social anxieties, (de)evolution theory, automation, architecture, and the feminine urge to be a sexy robot killer.
