The National Security Agency is one of the most secretive intelligence gathering agencies in the government. It resides under the Department of Defense and was started by a secret Executive Order issued by President Truman. For a generation, the American people had no idea that Truman had done this. The NSA was originally suppose to gather all foreign communication and codes and such, but that has all changed as the agency now wire taps Americans and is building a huge complex to open in September 2013 that will house all information on every American.
